Blurry images in HTML output
After compiling a project to HTML output, all images are slightly blurry because their size in the HTML code is somewhat scaled down compared to their actual size. After some investigation, it turns out that all image sizes are in rem, and the following attribute on the html element is causing them ...

Re: Standard output when publishing from the command line
Just for clarification, in HM 7, the following line (from a Windows batch script) was creating a log file and was also showing the standard output. But this is no longer the case in HM8: "C:\Program Files (x86)\EC Software\HelpAndManual7\HelpMan.exe" "C:\Projects\SomeProject.hmxp"...

Standard output when publishing from the command line
I've just upgraded to Help&Manual 8.1.0 Build 5536. This question is about publishing Help&Manual projects from the command line. When running a Windows batch script, I need to be able to redirect the output to a log file AND also show it at the command line in the standard output. With HM8,...

How to make index appear as PDF bookmark?
Good morning,
I'm currently designing a new .mnl template. Is there a way to configure the template so that the index appears in the "Bookmarks" window of Adobe Reader, like all other Table of Contents entries?
My Help and Manual version is 6.5.5.

JavaScript full-text search limitations
For various reasons, my department is constrained to using JavaScript search in Webhelp, and to using Help&Manual version 6.5.5, build 3020. Could you please confirm the following: 1) With JavaScript search, are the words generated in zoom_index.js file limited to 34 characters? 2) If yes, is th...

Re: How to decompress HMXZ from command line
Thank you, Tim!
I used 7-zip and it works, so my problem is solved now. I was not sure why the project name is always "project.hmxp", but now that you clarified I will just rename it. Thanks again!

How to decompress HMXZ from command line
Is there any way to convert an HMXZ project to HMXP from the command line? So far I have not been successful. The command I am using is: "C:\Program Files (x86)\EC Software\HelpAndManual6\HMXConv.exe" C:\Users\[...]\Documents\HMX\MyProject.hmxz C:\Users\[...]\Documents\Projects\MyProject.h...

Dedicated Style window
Are there any plans to add a detachable, resizable, and searchable Style window, the way it is in tools like Word and FrameMaker?
