Thanks, Martin. It's likely I would have missed the easier, non-opening option that you pointed out.
Tim, yes, the project is an HMXP.

Is there a way to search XML content across the entire source?
I thought I saw an answer to this earlier, but can't find it*... Write's search-and-replace of the WYSIWYG content of a project's source is excellent. Is there a way to search the XML? We're trying to root out some issues with tags CSS and Styleclass. ____ * I seem to remember something like, open a...

Re: How to find words in style Code Example?
I'm glad you knew about this. It's about as arcane and total-geek of any programmer's nook or cranny that I've ever run across.
In any case, thanks.

How to find words in style Code Example?
Write > Search doesn't seem to find whole words in searches when those words are styled in Code Example. Is there a workaround? We need to find every instance where 'var' is used in code snippets in our help file. We used Write > Find & Replace... Find in: All Topics Find where: Topic Text and H...

Re: Is there a way to rebuild the TOC after "Error while parsing tag "topic"?
As I said, they are always immediately recognizable, because they are just plain text between the tags, with no tags around them. Just look in the affected Topic XML files, as I suggested. Well, yes, I'm looking at the affected topic. Sorry to be dense, but how can plain text be between tags, yet h...

Re: Is there a way to rebuild the TOC after "Error while parsing tag "topic"?
In our experience this happens when SVN gets interrupted. It then leaves its plain-text placeholders between the tags, a - Does this hold true for GIT? We have moved away from SVN, which has not been involved in our version control since June of this year. b - Which tags should I sift through? Or c...

Is there a way to rebuild the TOC after "Error while parsing tag "topic"?
We have six topics that return the error, "Error while parsing tag 'topic.'" We had some issues with GIT for version control and if I remember right, this error is sometimes resolved via incantations with the version control software. However, the problem has become embedded in the server ...

Re: Configuration Misc. Options: Repository?
Unfortunately, once I execute your steps, the OK button is highlighted and seems to respond to a mouse click but nothing further happens. By "respond" I mean that the button's background toggles to a blue that is slightly darker than the light blue that appears when the mouse hovers over i...

Re: Configuration Misc. Options: Repository?
Key question in this long post is on the last line: what alternatives to I have for removing this repository, which was set up in ignorance and no longer is valid? Background: By dint of reverse-engineering myself, I realize that this repository is an artefact of early experiments in linking content...

Configuration Misc. Options: Repository?
I have a problematic entry in our WebHelp .hmxp file, under Configuration > Miscellaneous Options. It's for an option for 'Repository' and there's no help entry around this option in the H+M help file. It has to be an artefact of something I added a long time ago. Can I just remove the information i...

"Thanks" button?
A "Thanks!" button would save me a lot of hassle -- and possibly you some time -- as I keep trying to come up with ways to say 'thanks' in 25 characters or more. Thanks, like, mark as useful... anything like this would make thanking you for quick or great responses a single click. It would...
