Publishing HelpXplain for user without HelpXplain
I have created a few HelpXplain videos into my help. However, I work on a team and my team member does not have HelpXplain. So I basically do the tutorials, while she builds the help. However, she is having trouble publishing the help now that I've inserted some HelpXplain videos. (I just inserted t...

Re: Javascript Error with Built CHM
Just for future reference, I usually get this error when it's a faulty toggle. Or there is a keyword in a toggle that has a pound sign (hashtag). (Does "pound sign" show my age.)

Re: Javascript Error with Built CHM
Nevermind. It looks like we had a faulty bitmap image or our links were corrupted. We fixed those and the error went away.

Javascript Error with Built CHM
For one of our files, we keep getting a weird Script Error (see below). We've tried publishing the CHM with a newer, better skin. We've tried publishing with no skin, and we still get the error. Have you seen this? We've been combing through the topics, and we can't see why this is happening. Here i...

Magazine Skin in PP4 is glitchy
We've tried building our site using the new Magazine style in Premium Pack 4. But so far, not loving the results. The Magazine Chapter overlay seems to stay open. When we link from our program to other topics (using F1 or even just direct links), the Magazine overlay is still over the top of it. I d...

Re: CHMs not showing images/styles
One other thing is that I must run the exe from that C drive by double-clicking the exe file. We use this AppLauncher tool to download new versions to our C drive, and the AppLauncher allows you to open the program from it. But I found poor results doing it that way, and instead, just double-clicked...

Re: CHMs not showing images/styles
We figured out a work around until our programmer includes these new help files in the install. This is just for our testing purposes. I'm writing about it here in case anyone else has this problem. Problem #1: Our exe file resides next to our Help folder. I found that when I pasted the chm in the s...

Re: CHMs not showing images/styles
You are incredible! I am in discussion with our installation developer to make sure it's included with the install. Let's cross our fingers that this works. I'll try to remember and check back in to see if it works out.

CHMs not showing images/styles
We have an issue on one user's computer where the CHM isn't showing the screen shots and the styling is gone. I've heard this issue will be fixed if the CHM files are part of the install and registered properly, but we are concerned that other users might have this same issue. Is it true that they'l...

Re: Can tie F1 Key to Webhelp?
Thanks, Tim! Does eWriter have HTML5 capabilities? I'd really like to implement a few of HelpXplain tutorials, and if I want the full functionality, it looks like I need to publish using the Publish to HTML Slideshow. I'd prefer not to go the gif route...unless you know better or could help me under...

Can tie F1 Key to Webhelp?
In the past, we have always used CHM files with our downloaded exe applications. When users press the F1 key on their keyboard, help pops up in the form of a CHM. I noticed even with the latest version of Help+Manual that H+M does the same. However, we would like to transition to using Webhelp, and ...

Link to Excel file from CHM on Internal Website
I have a weird problem. We have some Excel files on a Sharepoint site. I have used an Internet link to link to those Excel files in my help project. Then I compile my help to CHM. To me, it works great. But some of our Windows 10 users click the link to the Excel files and get nothing. No message, j...
