Hello EC team,
referring to http://helpman.it-authoring.com/viewtopic.php?t=12406 I second this whish entirely.
With tables it is so much easier to format 'bigger' lists with complex items ...
Best regards,
Alex

Re: Publishing task - PDF - Include skin options
Thank you for this information, Tim. So I no longer have to search for a PDF skin file selection field. Nevertheless I would appreciate a possibility to set PDF publishing options (see the normal H&M configuration section) for the publishing task's export actions - either as direct options or wi...

Re: Publishing task - PDF - Include skin options
Hi Tim, thats why I wonder about the "Include skin options" box at the PDF "include options" tab (see picture in my first post). For which skin file and for which PDF options is it for? I don't speak about the quick publish area but about the "edit item" user interface ...

Hi Tim,
I'm confused, sorry. How do I specify a skin file in a PDF task?
Thanks and best regards,
Alex

Sorry Tim, I wasn't aware of the new version. With 6.2 it works fine.

Leading and trailing blanks in variables (command line publ.
Is there any chance to get the possibility for leading/trailing space characters in variables when using skin files during command line publishing? Using "V=file_with_list_of_variables.txt" works fine, leading space characters in "VariableX= xyz" are recognised. But using "O...

Publishing task - PDF - Include skin options
For what purpose is there an "Include skin options" box in the PDF include options? My hope: Here I can select hand-made skin files (xml) that I normally use for command line publishing. But how do I select files here? In the H&M help file I haven't found an answer yet. I need the PDF ...

PDF Output Style "Create Table of contents" in Batch Mode?
I use a batch file for creating a bunch of PDF files. Some PDFs shall get a TOC in the bookmarks section and some must not. Is it possible to declare this within the INI file? Or is it only possible to switch this option within H&M? Generally spoken: Is it possible to set the PDF output style op...

Re: Text style does not inherit paragraph style
I comprehend Freddys problem very well. Sometimes I also miss the possibility to define *one* "partial" text style that changes only one attribute (for instance colour) in the text - no matter what font or size or effect or style is used in the text. I don't like to define extra child styl...

Re: pdf fonts ugly, serious problem
Hi Christian, I had this problem after installing H&M on a new computer. In the "Program Options > PDF Export" the option "Use screen as reference device" was active. After changing to the "Use default printer as reference device" option the problem was fixed. Regar...

Re: Control page breaks in the TOC for PDF
seconded. Maybe also a minimum number of lines of the same level that shall stick together, when I want to avoid the situation that lheckman has described but don't want that *all level 2 headings have to stick to the level 1 heading. btw: This would be my wish for table rows as well. The "Tabl...

Re: Shortcut for ELSE and ENDIF tags (Conditions)
Hi Tim,
Snippets are ok, for me this falls in the wide category "copy & paste something" which often is really usefull (also tables etc.). I thought there could be some improvement beside this.
I just realised that I had forgotten the attachment. So it comes here.
Regards,
Alex

Shortcut for ELSE and ENDIF tags (Conditions)
Is there a way I can accelerate the entering of an ELSE tag into a condition? Here is my current procedure: 1. select the phrase 2. open the "Insert text condition" dialog by ribbon icon or by shortcut 3. select the build(s) 4. click "OK" 5. position the cursor befor the END tag ...

Re: Documenting the ever-changing Windows environment...
Hi Sheri, when it is an option to hand out one separate document for each windows version, you could use conditions and different builds "XP", "Vista", "W7". More comfortable, when there are many repetitions: skins where you define variables . Example: <%dir_documents%>...
