Re: Update image after edit with external editor

Thank you for the reply. There is no need to constantly monitor... Detecting that H&M has gained focus would be enough... Speaking with my developer hat on, when an app gains focus there is a lot of stuff that happens. Lots of Applications do this, for instance development IDEs (for example Visu...

Update image after edit with external editor

Very nice to be able to specify an external image editor in latest release. However, when I use MSPaint, the image does not update after editing and I have to navigate away and back to refresh it. Please refresh the image after a change... and maybe you should refresh if a window with a file-based i...

Re: SVG arrow head problems

Just for the record, the Microsoft Edge version is as I intended, and is as displayed by InkScape (where I authored the image this is extracted from).

SVG arrow head problems

Save the following as a .svg file and import it (your attachments system does not accept .svg files). The file was created with InkScape. There are two problems with the arrow-heads. 1. The left-hand one is pointing the wrong way. 2. The arrow heads do not point along the lines. I realise that this ...

An error has occurred in the script on this page

Today I made some edits to an old H&M project, rebuilt, and now every page gives me: An error has occurred in the script on this page Line: 2 Char : 29928 Error: Object doesn't support property or method 'addEventListener' Code: 0 URL: mk:@MSITStore:<path to my chm file>::jquery.js Do you wish t...

Error message reads awkwardly in English

The project file "E:\WINSPIKE\SonHelp10\HandM\" was not saved correctly by the last time. Perhaps: The last save of the project file "FilePath" failed. The last save of the project file "FilePath" was incorrect. I only mention this because of the usual very high standar...

Convert to plain text does not redraw, converts all link

Two bugs in 1: 1) When I have a link and try to convert the start only to plain text it actually converts all of it. 2) After convert, nothing visibly changes until I click elsewhere (I presume it causes a repaint) and the entire link changes. There always used to be the bug in version 7 that you co...

Re: eViewer 'always on top' option

I have a 4k display + 2 smaller ones... it is irritating when I look stuff up in the help, then click in my app to use the information and the help is buried... it all depends on the circumstances. Ideally, the viewer application would have this as an interactive option so the user can decide.

eViewer 'always on top' option

Thanks for implementing the 'always on top'. However, please can it be separate from position and size, or provide us with a way to default the position and size. Otherwise, my application becomes responsible for tracking the position of the Help window, which it cannot do (simply). Users generally ...

Re: 2 Numbered lists render as a continuous list

Yes, that is exactly what I did (several times). It changed the output, but when I navigated elsewhere and returned, eventually it reverted, even though the XML did not change. However, since making your suggested changes for ewriter problems, I cannot reproduce the effect. I will, of course, let yo...

I've been going mad trying to follow your instructions... eventually I figured out that the two images are too big (>128 kB).

2 Numbered lists render as a continuous list

I have a page that renders as the attached image bug1.png. bug1.png This is despite the XML looking like attached bug2.png. bug2.png If you zoom in on the xml for the second list you can see it has levelreset="true" and startfrom="1", so should restart the line numbers. If I sele...

Re: Replacing .chm with eBooks problem

Thanks Martin and Tim, That sounds much more hopeful. My concern is that the search, to be really useful, needs to be case insensitive and I do not have enough knowledge of Javascript and webbery to know if this would work. Not sure what you mean, Tim, by having to use "eViewer.exe "<your ...
