Re: Link to a topic in another file

One more question on this subject.
Is it possible to add any parameters in these expressions:

Code: Select all

hh.exe
or

Code: Select all

ms-its:helpfile.chm::/topicname.htm#anchor
or anyhow else to get the CHM file with all topics opening (visible) in the viewer (Open All)?

Re: Link to a topic in another file

Dear Tim,

Thank you very much. It's great!
The second way is the most suitable for us.

With my best wishes,
Alex

How to use a background image?

Dear Colleagues! Is it possible to put a background image on the first page of a help file? We use the “Help and Manual” program and we publish our helps in the CHM format. I have found in the context menu of a page a following command: Change Topic Background. There is a Tab called “HTML Source Cod...

Re: Internal error when trying to compile...

Microsoft CHM is an ancient format that has not been updated since it was released with Windows 98. It is extremely allergic to spaces and special characters in file names and will often crash or fail if they are present. CHM files with spaces in their names will often fail suddenly, or may not be ...

Re: Internal error when trying to compile...

I have installed the version 5.6 over our old version 5.3.1. So we have a problem in the version 5.6 with links to other topics in the project. We have to use the Russian font and I think the problem is that the new version can’t understand Russian font (Cyrillic) in the field Target . In the versio...

Re: Internal error when trying to compile...

I use the Version 5.3.1. That is your version of Help & Manual and it is completely out of date. The error message is referring to the compiler, which is completely different. But none of this is relevant until you update Help & Manual. Please download and install version 5.6 from the link ...

Re: Internal error when trying to compile...

I use the Version 5.3.1.
And the text of the error is concerning to the Version 4:
HHA Version 4.74.8702
htmlproc.cpp(114) : Assertion failure: (pszTmp == m_pCompiler->m_pHtmlMem->psz)
Is it important?

Here is my HelpReport.htm file. It seems me all is OK. MJ's Help Report A common problem with HTML Help 1.x is DLLs not correctly registered during installation. Re: Internal error when trying to compile...

Please help me! I have the similar problem.

Last two days I always receive the following error in my project:
HHA Version 4.74.8702
htmlproc.cpp(114) : Assertion failure: (pszTmp == m_pCompiler->m_pHtmlMem->psz)
What does it mean? What could I do to overcome it?
