Deleting a TOC
Hello, I've created a secondary TOC in my project that links to topics in my main TOC. When I try to delete this secondary TOC (I don't need it anymore), it prompts me with the delete entries dialog. I don't want to delete the topics as they are used in my main TOC. How do I delete the secondary TOC...

Re: Add Image to Text in HeaderBox of eWriter skin
Tim, Thanks! I had found that information and already using it. It was a request by the web/marketing people. We've got the company logo already set in that left corner. They were interested in having the product logo next to the floating title. I'm using the minimalist_white eWriter and webhelp ski...

Re: Setting eWriter custom icon
Thanks for the followup - I was being dumb and thinking the custom icon in the settings would replace the little orange book icon in the caption bar of the eviewer.exe. I am already using a custom ewriter extension and registering that with my custom icon.

Add Image to Text in HeaderBox of eWriter skin
Is there a way to add an image next to the %TITLE% text in the HEADERBOX.HTML? Looking for our logo in the left corner and a product image next to the title text. I've been able to update to our logo, and hack in an image next to the text but the image is not vertically centered with the the h1 text...

Setting eWriter custom icon
Hello, I'm creating eWriter books and using a base project to create three sets of documents for different flavors of the same product. I'm build via command line for each flavor; is there a way to set a customized eBook icon for each flavor I build? Can I use variables to specify the custom eBook i...

Re: Command Line Batch Build HelpXplain Error
TIm & Alexander,
Putting the full path to the HELPMAN.exe in my command line instead of using the PATH environment variable resolved this issue. Thanks for the help.

Re: eWriter Help Slow to Jump to Topic
Tim, Thanks for the fix for calling eWriter twice, and the explanation on the screen refresh. Unfortunate, like you say. How is calling the eViewer again with the same file and a new topic different than just clicking on that topic in the TOC frame? That doesn't cause a whole page refresh. You misun...

Re: eWriter Help Slow to Jump to Topic
Tim, Another strange issue. I have my "main" help button set to open my eWriter. By default it opens it at the top of the TOC. I'm calling <path>eViewer.exe "<path>my_ebook.ewriter" for this call. If I click that button again, the eBook is closed and I'm left with the eWriter ope...

Re: eWriter Help Slow to Jump to Topic
Tim, I'm just getting back to this now with the latest PP 4.03, V3 eWriter skins and the latest H&M installed. The eViewer screen area still blanks out and is redrawn each time I call eViewer with a new topic in the same file, even when I've already opened that same file. I'd really like to swit...

Re: Command Line Batch Build HelpXplain Error
I don't have HelpXplain, just Help and Manual 8, if that makes a difference. I'll try updating to the current build, thx.

Command Line Batch Build HelpXplain Error
I'm setting up a command line build and get the following error when publishing. [Error] HelpXplain command line compiler not found. Cannot publish file "Change-Default-Profile-RAS.xplain". I've added the following paths when my batch file is run: set HM="%ProgramFiles(x86)%\EC Softwa...

Re: Videos & PDF's
Thanks for confirming I wasn't missing a setting or something simple. The tip about the image in the link caption is a good one. Add in my vote for adding this as a feature as it generates a bit of work for plus extra IFDEFs on the page to maintain.

Re: Videos & PDF's
I found this thread looking for a way to have my YouTube videos output into my PDF files as an image with a hyperlink to the video. This thread suggests that H&M 7 already does this, but when I insert the video and create my PDF, only an image (the selected poster image) of the video is created ...

Tim,
Thanks for the reply and the detailed information about the history folders. We're already doing it, but good tip about graphics.
