Hi Guys,
I am using web help as my output for a project - in the attached image 1 you can see basic chapter detail in the left margin. In image 2 you can see the same information but I have widened the menu to accommodate the full length of the chapter text.
Is there a way of automating this?
I want the left menu to dynamically resize to fit the text ?
I am using a variation of the MH6 Web Help Premium Skin for this project.
Thanks
Andy

Re: Dynamic re-sizing of left menu - web help output
Hi Andy,
Automatic resizing wouldn't be practical here because it would conflict with the system used to enable the user to resize the width of the navigation pane manually with the mouse. On balance that is also a better solution really. The text in the TOC wraps so it remains usable and if the user actively wants the pane to be wider they can drag it. Doing it automatically would probably tend to annoy more users than it would please, on balance.
That's not a Premium Pack skin in your screenshot, by the way, that's one of the standard skins included with Help & Manual.
