Goodday,
I am working on variable texts.
The variable <%TOPICHEADER%> gives me the topicheader of the topic preceding the topic I am in.
See screenshot.
I am in topic: Test011.
The variable returns: ChildTesttopic001
Should it not return: Test011?
Thanks for your reply.
Regards,
Paul

Re: Variable text
Hi Paul,
<%TOPIC_HEADER%> is only for use in HTML templates, not in normal topics in the HM editor. Basically, it inserts the content of the topic header box into the template, rendered as HTML. You cannot depend on it to produce meaningful results anywhere except in HTML templates. If it was a global variable for use in topics it would be available in the Insert Variable tool. See this topic in the help for a list of template-only variables for HTML templates:
Reference > Modules, Conditional Output & Variables > Variables and Conditional Output > HTML template variables
