Non-Breaking Text

Unread post by Olivier Beltrami »

Hello,

Is it possible to set some text as non-breaking ?

For example, my software's name is Q++Studio and I would really want it to stay together always.
But often, at the end of a line, H&M breaks it into "Q++" and "Studio" on the next line.

Very best regards,

Olivier

Hi Olivier,

That's an interesting suggestion. The problem here is that "+" is a non-word character, so it can break. If it were to be defined as a word character the word wouldn't break, but it could get hyphenated, which would arguably be worse. I'm not sure if a non-breaking attribute for a specific string of characters or words would be possible, but I'm passing it on as a suggestion. 8)
