Set that every chapter begins on a new page

Unread post by Filmofil »

Hi!

I'm a new H+M user, and I'm publishing a project to a PDF. I've adjusted one of your templates (MNL file), but it seems I can't adjust the resulting PDF to be structured according to my needs.

I want to set up that every topic in H+M (every major chapter, 1, 2, 3) begins on a new page. Subtopics (subchapters, 1.1, 1.2, 1.3 ) are OK, they can appear on the same page.

I can't find that setting, I hope it's just a trivial thing to set. Can you please help me with this issue?

In the Print Manual Designer
Go to the Topics layout
Select the Top Level Heading placeholder (might be a little hard to read but it is the placeholder containing your top level Heading)
Select Edit > Edit properties
Select the This Section only tab
Choose your setting at Section starts

If you look in the help, you'll find info under Page Management > Page Breaks, Widows & Orphans

Thanks, I wouldn't have never found that option. You're a life-saver!
