eWriter not Saving Menu Options in .ewcfg File

Hi,

The eWriter.exe does not save my choice made not to have either of the 2 menus.
I deactivate both menus but it makes no difference and they are back when command-line compiling.
Is there a workaround ?

Hi Olivier,

Do you mean the standalone eWriter Creator? Please make sure you are using the latest version, which you can download here:

Hi Tim,

I had downloaded it 2 days ago (when I started to look into the eWriter format).
Anyways I re-downloaded it and its is the exact same EXE, binary-wise.

It seems that it looks for the INI keys in the wrong section of the EWCFG file.

I copied the entries

Code: Select all

HasMainMenu=0

and

Code: Select all

HasContextMenu=0

into every section of the EWCFG file, and now it works

Might be worth fixing at one point, though.

Thanks for reporting this. It would have been helpful if you had referred to the program by name (eWriter Creator). Just writing "eWriter" caused some confusion here...

Sorry, I thought that referring to "eWriter.exe" would be unambiguous.
It was meant to reduce confusion, not add to it.
