Extend Maintenance

Hi,

I have H&M 8 installed on my desktop PC and on my laptop using the same license key (supposedly legal :dunno: ).I just extended maintenance and entered the key on the desktop PC. All is fine.

I was kinda expecting that on the laptop the maintenance would also show up as extended. As this wasn't the case I reentered the maintenance key and get the message that the key is already used (not completely wrong, but ...)

What is the correct procedure?

Nevermind. There is the same (and answered) question in

viewtopic.php?f=38&t=16872

but I wonder how long this server update can take. It is now over 4 hours...

Hi Gerold,

We'll look into this. However, try doing the check for updates function in the Help menu. That should refresh the license server connection.

Hi Gerold,

Update: This is actually normal. Regular licenses don't communicate constantly with the license server so it may take a couple of days until the extension becomes visible in your second installation. There's a grace period of up to 30 days after the expiry of maintenance, so you won't suffer any adverse effects. 8)
