Is there a way I can accelerate the entering of an ELSE tag into a condition?
Here is my current procedure:
1. select the phrase
2. open the "Insert text condition" dialog by ribbon icon or by shortcut
3. select the build(s)
4. click "OK"
5. position the cursor befor the END tag
6. open the "Insert text condition" dialog by ribbon icon or by shortcut
7. select the ELSE tag
8. click "OK"
- ...
Is there a possibility to say "Insert an ELSE tag at the cursor's position" instead of steps 6+7+8?
(beside the suggestion to copy & paste an existing condition)
Maybe an idea for the dialog (see attachment):
a) Checkboxes under the IF and IFNOT options which tell the program that ELSE and END shall be included or not.
And in case I selected the ELSE option: If I had selected a text phrase, it would be nice when the whole phrase incl. formatting and links etc. would be automatically copied between the ELSE and the END tag (as template).
b) Buttons instead of options for ELSE and END (this would supersede step 8.)
But maybe I miss something and there is a smart solution already ...
Regards,
Alex

Re: Shortcut for ELSE and ENDIF tags (Conditions)
Hi Alex,
At the moment there is no shortcut method for this. What you could do is create a snippet that has the whole sequence ready to go, with some dummy text in between. Then you just paste in the snippet in Paste mode and insert your content between the tags, either manually or with copy and paste. That is probably a lot quicker than the other method, and you could have different snippets for different condition combinations.

Re: Shortcut for ELSE and ENDIF tags (Conditions)
Hi Tim,
Snippets are ok, for me this falls in the wide category "copy & paste something" which often is really usefull (also tables etc.). I thought there could be some improvement beside this.
I just realised that I had forgotten the attachment. So it comes here.

Alex
