Re: Links to anchors in HTML output
And look at that; once again I debugged my own problem. The source of the problem seems to be using old style anchor links vs. new style links. The links that fail are from BEFORE I upgraded to PP3, using ../index.html?podcast-explore.htm#metrics Using properly formed PP3 links works correctly: ../p...

Links to anchors in HTML output
I'm using H+M 7, and Premium Pack 3. Almost exclusively outputting to HTML. I have an issue that is hard to reproduce because it only happens SOMETIMES and I can't find any specific trigger. The problem is this: when you click a link to an anchor on a page, sometimes the link fails; it goes to the p...

"Canonical" problem
(V3 premium pack.) I just ran a check with Xenu, looking for link rot, and the thing blew up with hundreds of broken links. After digging around I found out they're all connected to the "Canonical" tag -- which I had not heard of before. This is set in the General Settings>HREF_HELPURL var...

Why the colon in PP skin permalink URL from Hambuger menu?
Not a critical issue, but I'm curious. I'm using the v3 Premium Pack responsive skins, which have the hamburger menu option that includes the "Save Permalink URL" item. When I use that, it inserts a colon (:) between the domain and the rest of the path. My understanding is that this is val...

Search term highlighting
Hello. I'm using the PP v3 Minimalist_Plain_White_WebHelp skin. I just noticed that search term highlighting doesn't seem to be working. (As in, search for a term, and when it's found on a page it is not highlighted.) Configuration > Publishing Options > Full Text Search > "Highlight search wor...

Re: Sortable in HTML help and not in Webhelp
Is this answer from more than three years ago still valid? (Can't do sortable tables with v3 responsive skins.) I ask because I just spent most of an afternoon fighting with this and only now did I find this answer. It's not making sense to me because "you can't use tables in responsive layouts...

Re: Google Web font error on mobile
I find it easier to use the GF Protocol* than the blunt instrument of iOS cache clearing. Sadly, I tried on both FF and Chrome on iOS and the problem was still there, as it was after using the GF Protocol. I guess I'll just have to live with it. Not a deal breaker, as few of our customers will consu...

Re: Google Web font error on mobile
I'm using Minimalist_Plain_White_WebHelp.hmskin. Google Fonts are embedded using the baggage file _google_webfonts.html . I added the embed code for Open Sans, using this: <link href="https://fonts.googleapis.com/css?family=Open+Sans:300italic,400italic,600italic,700italic,400,300,600,700"...

Google Web font error on mobile
Hello. I'm using Google Open Sans web font, and it's working correctly all around except for one thing: one specific style does not display correctly on mobile (it shows Times or some other ugly font, indicating it is simply not finding the Open Sans). The following is declared in the style section ...

Re: Page margins (white space) in Webhelp output with PP ski
Thanks, that worked well (modifying the padding in the hmwebhelp_main_desktop.css and hmwebhelp_main_tablet.css files).

Page margins (white space) in Webhelp output with PP skins
Hello. I'm using the PP v3 skins, primarily for webhelp. I'd like to see more white space (left and right margins) on the page, as I think it helps the page look cleaner and easier to read. The skins and their CSS files are pretty complex, so I'm guessing it can't be done easily. For example, I foun...

Re: ATOC and Word output
Hmm. Interesting replies. In the end I think I just won't use that feature since it's really too much trouble.
