Re: Command line option to prevent setting files to a read-only status during a build
Looking at this now, I'm really not so sure what the problem is: There's nothing to stop you from starting multiple instances of Help+Manual to execute multiple builds at the same time. HM only needs to read the project it is publishing, and if it is stored as uncompressed HMXP it is not locked any...

Re: No Compile Errors in WebHelp
We set up a little test to demonstrate our confusion: A Main.hmxp with two included sub.hmxps. From a chapter of the main.hmxp, working link to one included sub hmxp and one broken link to a sub hmxp. 02-11-2023_16-44-48.png The Help & Manual editor do not mark the broken link in red. I got this...

Re: No Compile Errors in WebHelp
Thanks for your reply.
We use highly modular hmxps. So links to other hmxps are not checked?
Is this also valid for CHM files or does the html help compiler check this links and adds them as external links to external CHM files?

Re: No Compile Errors in WebHelp
Hello Tim, we have the same issue here. We use Version 9.3.0 Build 6581. "Allow links to be dead" is activated. The links can be identified as "broken" in the "Edit Hyperlink" dialog. But the link is not displayed in read. brokenlinks.png No error in compiler. Result: o...

Re: Convert all calls to lowercase
I think we are fine here and my problem is resolved. Thank you, Tim.
Just for clarification: I am using a Premium Pack skin and when I locally open the index.html with a double click, the help generates the syntax index.html#topic.htm by its own. The # is nothing that I initiated.

Re: Convert all calls to lowercase
Sorry, if I skipped some information. We generate an offline HTML no server help with Premium Pack Version 4.3.0. So I think index.html#topic.htm is fine here, isn't it? I wrote a shot Java Script that first catches the file name and if there are upper cases, converts them. All calls from the applic...

Convert all calls to lowercase
Hi all, one of our customers with a huge "old" software and a lot of help buttons delivers an offline web help with its software. Due to decisions from the past, each help button calls a html file directly. (we know, that a call like <path to help>\index.htm#topica.htm is recommended). The...

Re: PHP8 support for Zoom search
Hi Tim,
are there any news concerning PHP 8.x? Which H&M version supports PHP 8.x officially?
Thanks
Markus

PHP8 support for Zoom search
Hi all,
is anyone running a Help & Manual help with PHP Zoom search module (PHP) on PHP version 8.*?
search.php always shows an 500 error under PHP 8.*.
With PHP 7.4, everythings works fine.
Thanks
Markus

Re: Add external link to breadcrumb
Thanks for your reply, Tim. The help still tried to open it as topic. I solved it now in this way: a leave the p#topic_breadcrumbs as is, just took the <%BREAD_LABEL%> out of this paragraph. I added a new paragraph before p#topic_breadcrumbs that contains <%BREAD_LABEL%> and my link and set both par...
