I think the best PDF-viewer is the one which is liked most by the actual user.
In my opinion patronizing people which application to use for a purpose is not good.
Most computers have a Web-Browser supporting PDF already installed, thus this is normally "good enough".

Re: Diameter symbol not showing properly
Hello,
that is propably a font issue on your side. Using "Calibri" or "Segui UI" shows the correct symbol e.g. in eWriter output.

Re: Linking to a Shared Folder (Windows Explorer, UNC) from WebHelp
Hello Nadja,
to work arround this problem you then need to work with a local Webserver see HM2GO in the Help&Manual Help.
Which is also an additional software to install. I do not recomend this.
As already said eWriter makes more sense...

Hi Nadja,
you might think about switching over to eWriter help. I my case it solved all the problems with different browsers an their securety settings related to file links.

Re: eViewer Search Tab Buttons
I hope this will change soon...IE uses Microsoft's Trident rendering engine, and that is also the WebView component on Windows, which programs like the eWriter eViewer must use if they want to implement a WebView.

eViewer Search Tab Buttons
As Dave was complaining to focus on Search allone... ...I add another one. As I see eViewer seems to be based on Internet Explorer. It would be nice if the Search Tab could be set to a more modern flat style. Currently the buttons drop down list combo etc. seem to be from Windows95 days. regards Horst

eWiewer <Ctrl>+<0>
A minor thing... If you open a help in eViewer you can magnify the scaling of font etc. by <Ctrl>+<+> and reduce scaling by <Ctrl>+<->. In standard browsers as e.g. FireFox you can reset to default scaling by <Ctrl>+<0>. This is not possible with eViewer. Regards Horst
