Re: Conditional Text for DOCx Output

Hi Dale,

Word is covered by the "Print Manual" option. That is also the option that is activated in the Publish screen when you select DOCX output.

Re: Build Variable?

However, if I include it into a Snippet which I then, in turn, include into my design template in the Print Manual Designer, it appears with a white background rather than a transparent one. That is the problem: Alpha transparency is supported in the project itself but not yet in the PDF templates....

Re: Regarding responsive webhelp

Hi Vanitha,

You don't need to make any adjustments there. The user can adjust it themselves to their own preference.

Re: Using the # character in WebHelp search

Hi Vincent,

There is a trick you can use to achieve this. Add the # character to the list of word-joining characters in your skin configuration, in Configuration > Publishing Options > WebHelp > Full-Text Search. 8)

Re: Dashed lines

Hi Peter,

Did they look into why (non-animated) dashed lines are showing as solid?

This isn't quite clear yet. I'll post again when I have more information on that. :?

Re: Regarding responsive webhelp

Hi Vanitha, Thanks for the clarification. In the skin you are using you can change all that directly in the skin's configuration variables. Open the .hmskin file of the skin in Help+Manual. Then in the Project Explorer on the left navigate down to Configuration > Common Properties > Text Variables. ...

Re: Dashed lines

Hi Peter,

Update from the developers: Outline animations can only work on closed shapes, not on lines with open ends. We're going to update the help on this and possibly also add a warning in the program.

Re: Dashed lines

Hi Peter, Thanks for reporting this. As far as I can see at the moment, dashed lines are shown correctly for closed shapes, but not for lines and arrows. Outline animations do render as lines, and if you apply one to a shape the line will also remain after the shape has rendered, instead of returnin...

Re: Webhelp Full Text search does not give any results

Hi Vincent, If it's working locally that confirms that the problem is not in the output, which has to be OK. There is something wrong on the server end: For example, not all files were uploaded, files were damaged, or something on the server is blocking the search function. The first thing to do is ...

Re: Repository change does not change one single style

Hi Vincent, Generally speaking, setting margins with styles in your project is not a good idea. The content in your project has no margins, because it is fluid content that needs to flow into different layouts for the different output formats. Emulating margins in the topic editor with paragraph ind...

Re: Count Down on Screenshot

Hi Kevin,

You get the countdown when you activate the "Start capture with delay" option. It will be remembered for the next capture if you also activate "Remember settings" (select "More Options" in the capture dialog to see this and other options)

Re: New feature - Shape Blur

I was not looking at the page as an image, as you say not intuitive. We worked very hard on the interface but since the entire structure and way everything works here is quite new it was a little hard to make everything really intuitive. Some functions had to be grouped in specific ways that were u...

Re: Fade in / Fade out Slide transition

Hi Peter, The slide itself can't have a fade because it's not a graphics object like the slide contents. All the slides are positioned on a single large HTML page viewed through a hole in an overlay. When you transition between slides the page is moved around behind the overlay. So transitioning the...
