Re: TOC

Hi Marie, Your icons will work best in that skin if they are square, i.e. same width as height. The size is set as 1.1rem in both dimensions, which is relative to the base font of the skin, so that they expand along with the text when you change the size. It would also be ideal if you use SVG icons,...

Re: Drop-down list in TOC

Hi Marie, You don't say what documentation format you're using but I'm assuming it's WebHelp. That then wouldn't be in the content of your project or anything you would create with Help+Manual itself, because it's not in the content of your project. It's in the HTML of the page where the content is ...

Re: TOC

Hi Marie, You can change this with the CSS in the skin. How you would do this depends on the skin you are using because there are quite a few different ones. However, it would be easier to use icons of the same size as the ones being used in the skin where you are replacing them. Make a note of the ...

Re: TOC / list of topics in chapter

Hi Ga, You can achieve this with Help+Manual's smart copy ability from the TOC: If you select all the topics in a TOC chapter and copy them to the clipboard, you will get a list of links to those topics if you paste into a topic. If you don't want the links, just the text, you just need to select th...

Premium Pack 3.50 Maintenance Update

We have just released the 3.50 maintenance update for the Help+Manual Premium Pack add-on. Re: Deploy HTML to web-site but PNG files does get loaded

Hi Claus, Help+Manual 6 is not the new version, it is many years old. It is no longer for sale so it would be difficult for you to have purchased it just now. Are you really using HM6, or are you really on the current HM7 version? There are no known problems with PNG images in WebHelp, that is a sta...

Re: Full text search in webhelp

Hi Tansy, The Basic edition doesn't support the search feature in WebHelp because that requires a bundled license for the Zoom web search indexing tool. That is only available in the Professional and Server versions. When you have the search feature enabled in WebHelp you can get phrasal search by c...

Re: Using the # character in WebHelp search

Hi Vincent, I want to be able to use the characters < > and / in webhelp. The first two aren't possible because they can't be represented directly in HTML. If those characters were inserted in normal text they would make the page display incorrectly, because the the browser would have to interpret e...

Re: Expand/Collapse link on all pages

Hi Jett, There are two problems here: First, you're using a V3 skin from the Premium Pack, which uses a different command. The second one is, you can't put something like this on every page in these dynamic skins by adding it to the template. It will appear on the first page that the user visits, bu...

Re: Custom fonts in webhelp

is there a way to include the fonts with the deployment of the helpfiles and therefore be independet of internet access, blockers, etc. Good idea in principle, but unfortunately it doesn't work. This is something I looked into extensively when working on web font support. First of all, if you're in...

Hi Mark,

You're very welcome! We originally created Help+Manual for ourselves and so we try to provide the support we'd like to get while using it. We hope it shows. 8)
