Re: Suggestion for functionality with projects within projec

I've moved this to the Wish List section because that is monitored directly by our developers. These are all good suggestions. I can't promise which of them will get implemented how soon, but they are definitely things that are on our radar., 8)

Re: custombuilds attribute of a project's config-group node

Don't worry, we would never change something like that. We'd get murdered...

Re: Picture quality reduced to final published product

Hi Riccardo, The problem here is a bug in Microsoft's CHM system that has existed ever since it was released with Windows 98. Microsoft has not fixed any bugs in CHM since then, and has really not updated anything at all. The system is still as it was when it was released, warts and all... :? This b...

Re: Suggestion for image toggles - setting expanded size

Hi Svetlana, It's not an absolute solution. Generally speaking, Help+Manual tries to protect the integrity of your layout by preventing content from expanding so far that it "bursts" the table. However, it won't do that if the table also has space to expand; only if the table itself is alr...

Re: Suggestion for image toggles - setting expanded size

Hello! I have the same problem with the images when you publish to PDF. Is there no solution? Because if in the Edit Toggle I remove the sign "Print: Expanded" for the image, and the attribute "Thumbnail" set, for example, 70%, when compiling it greatly degrades the quality of t...

Re: custombuilds attribute of a project's config-group node

Hi Julio, Update: This was caused by some internal changes and will be fixed in the next update. However, if you manually edit the CUSTOMBUILDS name in the project to custombuilds Help+Manual will accept it and will not change it, so you can do that to fix it for yourself now. The difference over ti...

Re: Picture quality reduced to final published product

Hi Riccardo, Your original image is nearly 13,000 pixels wide and you are trying to zoom it down to 1,000 pixels. Even with a good resizing algorithm that is difficult, but trying to do it with the fast algorithm that must be used when you are publishing a project is expecting magic. Also, wh...

Re: custombuilds attribute of a project's config-group node

Hi Julio,

Yes, there have been some changes with this over time, I've noticed that too. Help+Manual definitely doesn't mind about the case. I've asked Alexander to comment on the current status.

Re: HM 7.3.6 adds odd 'transform' properties to default.css

Hi Sergey,

Alexey wrote:Hi Tim,
Well, if it's not used, then it's not a big problem for you to remove the wrong property, right? ;) It makes the CSS file invalid.

Ah, sorry, I thought you were just wondering what it was for. I'll check into it. 8)

Re: HM 7.3.6 adds odd 'transform' properties to default.css

Hey Alexey,

Don't worry about it. That isn't used or documented at the moment, it is for future use.

Nice try. :naughty:

Re: Keywords/sub-keywords to combine

Svetlana Akulova wrote:In H&M7, just like in H&M6, the same rule applies, right?

Yes, same thing: By definition, a sub-keyword must belong to a main keyword. Otherwise it can't be a sub-keyword; then it must be a main keyword.

Re: Tutorials for replacing Keywords

Hi Cindy, You once guided me to a place or something that showed developers how to quickly replace all keywords. Do you happen to know where that's at? I think that was a conversation about replacing keywords in your Help+Manual project. If I understand you correctly, what you want to do now is repl...

Re: Problem with Screen Capture Tool

Hi Albertina, Which Windows version are you using? It is quite possible that the capture tool in your very old version of Help+Manual is no longer completely compatible with it. This will be particularly pronounced if you are using a version of Windows that supports the transparent Window borders (t...

Re: Best webserver and web publishing tools. Please help

Hi Othmane, Access control of the kind you describe is generally restricted because it is not supported by the documentation formats themselves. The Microsoft CHM format has no facilities for selective display of content with user login. Everything in the CHM file is always available and there is no...
