Re: Change formatting in Search tab in webhelp

Hi Gunilla, Yes, you're quite close. What is tricky about formatting the text in links is that you have to define the styles for the <a> tag directly, and you also need to define them three times, for the normal state, the color of the visited state (otherwise you get the standard ugly purple for vi...

Re: Can I import Word RTF files & retain styles - existing p

Hi Dave, In addition to importing to a new project you can also use the Import option in the File menu to import to the project that is currently open. If you import RTF and it contains styles that aren't already in the project you are importing to, those styles will be imported and added to the pro...

Re: Questions about variables

Hi Anna, Is there any possibility to add variables as the value of other variables? Absolutely. The variables system in HM is specifically designed to enable that. In addition to that you can also use manually typed variables in the TOC and in a wide range of Configuration settings in both your proj...

Re: Sufficient rights to open the project.

One change in my path made the difference. Since we are using letters (š, č, ž, ..) my path also consisted one of these letters. I changed letter č to c and now can create and open projects normally. Does this make any sense? This definitely makes sense. Non-ASCII characters in filenames and paths ...

Re: Issue with PP 3.46 and toggles

Hi Paul, I understood you were referring to anchors. I just tested this extensively with the project, topic, skin and anchor you suggest and it is working perfectly in Chrome, Edge, Firefox, Opera, IE and Chredge (the new Chrome version of Edge). My guess is that there may be an error in the placeme...

Hi Paul,

I've tested this extensively and cannot reproduce the problem. Please check your email, where I've requested a small demo project. :)

Re: Error while parsing tag "topic" (H&M7)

Hi Dale, We are using Bitbucket/Sourcetree to manage it. Errors like this can happen when your source control makes mistakes when merging different versions of the XML files. If you have the ID of the affected topic, please mail the topic XML file from the \Topics folder to support AT ec-software.co...

Re: Controlling font used for bullets in lists

Hi Tina, Update: Could you mail me a small demo project at support AT ec-software.com (replace the AT with @) so that we can test what you have in your project directly? That would be a great help. I also need to know if your example is from a CHM file or WebHelp, because that makes a big difference...

Re: License questions

Hi Dave, You can create WebHelp and use the skins included with your Help+Manual 6 installation freely, there are no restrictions on that. The only thing that might be restricted is the search feature, which will not be available if you are using a Basic license instead of the Pro version. You can c...

Re: Webhelp Links to Search Results

Hi Olivier, If you've been using the same skin for so long I hesitate to provide instructions because the code has changed a lot internally over time and I can't be sure what yours currently looks like. Please just mail me the skin at support AT ec-software.com (replace the AT with @) along with the...

Re: Display of topics in webhelp

Hi Tansy, But I need to have different chapter headers (the ones that appear in the right, befor the chapter text). That doesn't work, because you are linking to exactly the same topic file in each case. The TOC is just a list of links and both links are pointing to the same file, and the topic head...
