Re: Link to CHM with subfolder

Hi John, I'm afraid HM doesn't support CHMs with internal sub-folders. It always creates a flat file structure inside the CHM and can't create anything else. So if you need to go on supporting those you won't be able to create them from a HM project, because it always creates its own flat file struc...

Re: Link to CHM with subfolder

If you don't have the HM projects from which the CHMs were created (which you won't if they weren't created with HM, of course...) you'll need to do some multi-file search and replace on the topic files. For this make sure that your projects are saved in the uncompressed HMXP format, for which you w...

Hi Dave,

Right-click on the web page and select Save As, just as you would with any other page in a web browser. 8)

Re: WebHelp - Single tap on navigation (mobile)

Ohh i see! I'll test that out asap. Thanks! :D No need to be embarrassed. It's difficult to make everything intuitive and a lot of things aren't even if we'd like them to be. I'm so deeply immersed in this software myself that I have to constantly remind myself that pretty much everything is...

Re: Getting a Feedback Button on a WebHelp using a PP Skin

Hi Patrick, The iFrames Responsive Blue skin isn't a Premium Pack skin, it's one of the standard skins included with Help+Manual and doesn't have a feedback button feature. You can get a feedback feature with either the V2 or the V3 skins in the Premium Pack. See the documentation here for details: ...

Re: Topic navigation squished up

Hi Lamda, This will be caused by changes to the CSS for the #idnav table cell and its contents in the HTML page template in Confuguration > HTML Page Templates > Default in the skin. My guess is that you have adjusted the background position settings for the navigation buttons. Here are the original...

Re: Able to change logo in Webskin, but not its hotspot

Hi Dave, Sorry, I thought you were referring to a V3 skin. That's a V2. The setting there is really in the headerbox baggage file, HM_HEADERBOX.html. You will find the link right at the top. It is there because this older skin design was created before Help+Manual was able to process variables in ba...

Re: WebHelp - Single tap on navigation (mobile)

Hi Simon, That's an old posting. You can now change this very easily directly in the skin configuration. Open the .hmskin file in Help+Manual and in the Project Explorer on the left go down to Configuration > Publishing Options > WebHelp > Navigation. You will find the TOC configuration options ther...

Re: WebHelp config On load expand all entries -- doesn't

Project. Where, pray tell, is the switch in the Premium Pack Toolbox? Changing any setting like this in the project will be ignored if you are using a skin, since everything available in the skin replaces all corresponding elements, templates and settings in the project. In Toolbox the settings are...

Re: Toggle jump - in reverse?

Maybe because it's NOT dynamic, by the time the text reaches the Web, the snippet contents are already in place in both the tutorial and the Concept uses of the snippet? Exactly. Your output is completely assembled in the publishing process. When you use snippets, they are only dynamic while you ar...

Re: Toggle jump - in reverse?

However, what you then need to do is to delete the selected text and then replace it with the snippet just created. That way, if you later edit the snippet it will update in both places. Tim, should the Help not make that clear? Linked snippets always update automatically when their source is edite...

Hi Dave,

See the documentation on snippets here:

If there are any questions left after that, try again. 8)
