Re: Possible to lock project for editing?

Have them access it on your server, and mark it as READ ONLY, with admin as owner.

Anchor looses trailing spaces

H&M 4 current release - Win XP - Browser Help When an anchor is created on a blank line with 1 or more spaces entered following it, the space is not translated in the build to Browser Based Help. XML looks like this: <para styleclass="Normal"><anchor id="intro2_outline1" styl...

My Bad

Never mind, I found a syntax error in the .HPJ, made while removing directives that were MMV specific.

Thanks anyway.

TOC - Winhelp HPJ Import

When "Import existing content from..." - WinHelp source files(*.HPJ)
the CNT directive seems to be ignored, as no TOC is generated in the resulting import. Only the topics contained in the RTF file(s) are represented in the TOC.

.HPJ directive is - CNT = sgira.cnt

I guess that is my point. The disk directory does parallel the original, but the structure within H&M 5 is crude. It is not the same tree structure as in H&M 4. It inhibits the easy view of how these topics are organized. By displaying the entire path for each entry, one sees only a flat str...

Conversion directory structure

When a project is converted from H&M 4, the directory structure for "invisible" topics, as displayed in H&M 5, does not migrate properly. Regardless of the number of levels selected through the External Converter options, (as high as 6). As well, the directories created are verbose...

Options provided at conversion

An option should have been provided for backward compatibility to H&M 4 functionality. Prior the output backgrounds and editor backgrounds matched. This is no small change to a WYSIWYG environ. and IS an arbitrary philosophy change from H&M 4. This type of redifinition of how important param...

Does this error rpt. belong in H&M 5 Bug Rpts.

Should there be a separate Impict Bug report area?

:( :( :( :( :( I'm sorry too. Tks Tim Perhaps the developers should read your post in Off-Topic area. This principle is very true for software documentation and development as well. Don't geek out on technology, figure out what your customers really want and need and focus on that. It's a great post...

It would be easier for us to sort out those wishes that pertained to HM4 vs HM5. Since to running list is available to see which ones were implemented or not.
