PDF Output
Hello, I am using H&M4 on a new computer. Previously, on my old computer, I had H&M4 as well as Adobe Acrobat and Acrobat Reader, and I was able to see my PDF output in either of those applications. Now, I don't have either of those applications, and when I produce a PDF, it opens in Chrome ...

Re: Screen shot overlapping bottom margin
Yes, this is a PDF...no, those two settings are not selected for the paragraph. I tried putting a page break immediately before it, but got the same result, so I guess the screen shot is too big to fit on one page. So - is there a way to shrink it so that it will fit?
Thanks for your help!

Screen shot overlapping bottom margin
Hello,
How can I resize a screen shot so that it doesn't overlap the bottom margin on a page? I tried changing the bottom margin setting, but it still happens.
Example attached shows the very bottom of the page and the top of the following page.
Thank you,
Sue

Hide a topic?
Hello, Is it possible to temporarily "hide" a topic for use in the future? I created one that does not need to be included in the current output, but it will be needed in the future. Rather than deleting it and having to recreate it a few months from now, I would like to hide or "deac...

I have version 4.1.0 build 866. Is that the final version of HM4? I need to see about upgrading

Re: Topic header not displaying in PDF
Tim, I looked at the .mnl and it looks fine...I know I have not made any changes to it and it worked before. In fact, I took another existing project and started copying and pasting pieces from my problem project into it and assigned it the same .mnl file, and the topic headers come out correctly in...

Re: Topic header not displaying in PDF
Thanks for your reply. In version 4, there is a box "View uses a different set of options" on the Print Manual View tab, so I selected it and then chose black for my font color under Font Settings, but my headings still aren't displaying. Also, I noticed that, even though I saved after mak...

Topic header not displaying in PDF
I apologize if this has been discussed before, but I was unable to find a thread on it. I have had this problem once before long ago and thought maybe I had asked for help here. I have a project for which the topic headers have stopped showing up in the PDF output. I didn't make any changes to the s...

Why are page numbers starting over in my document?
Hi, I have a document that starts counting the page numbers with the cover as page 1. The table of contents is page 5. After that, the page numbering starts over with page 1, so that on the table of contents, it says that Chapter One starts on page 3. This is not what I want - it should actually be ...

Chapters in Table of Contents not lining up in PDF
Hi, My document has ten chapters. In the TOC, chapters 1-9 are in line with each other, but chapter 10 is a little off to the left. I guess it is because the chapter number has two digits. I am attaching an example. Can you please tell me what I need to do to fix it so that all the chapters are left...

Print Manual Designer question
Hello, I created a new help project. I copied an existing .mnl file and made changes to the text on the Cover, Title 1, and Topics pages, then saved it with a new name. I then specified the new .mnl in the new project, and then produced a PDF. With the original .mnl file, the Title 1, Table of Conte...
