Re: V3 Responsive Skin : Remove Project Title from Header

Hi, The V3 Responsive Skins are edited using the PP Toolbox application, not in H&M itself. hmToolbox.exe in your program installation folder. It's useful to create a desktop shortcut for this. You can then edit the HTML in the Page Template for the skin. Notepad++ (free) is the preferred text e...

Re: Print text

Hi Paul,

How are you printing HTML?

If you use File > Print in your browser (CTRL+P), toggles will print exactly as displayed on the page, expanded or not.

For topic pages, right-click on the topic, then This Frame > Print Frame.

regards,

Martin.

Re: Print text

Hi Tim, Yes, I'm aware of all that. But did Paul ask for a switch at runtime? It's the same when I am answering questions about my own software. Almost every question requires a major telepathic effort to know what is being asked. :( For a runtime switch, an ordinary toggle would do? cheers, Martin.

Re: Tracking video with Google Analytics

Hi Olga, It's very likely your web hosting package provides some metrics functions. For example Webalizer or Awstats. You can see the number of downloads from the server for each file each month. If you have cPanel on there, scroll down to Metrics. If not, contact your provider to see if an upgrade ...

Hi Tim,

Am I missing something? Why not use conditional text IF NOT PRINT?

Re: eBook format creation

As a real newbie at this, I couldn't find anything to describe why you might want it separate, and if so, how to create the separate data file and use with the viewer. Hi Sue, When you use conventional Webhelp, you can update it for your users, respond to feedback, etc., more frequently than upgrad...

Re: eBook format creation

Yes, I'm not so happy with that location myself. Do you have a good suggestion for an additional place for it that you would find more naturally? Hi Tim, This seems to be the obvious place: http://help.ec-software.com/index.html?hm_working_configoutput_ebooks_exe.htm But looking at the number of fu...

Re: eBook format creation

have just seen your reply after spending most of the day getting it closing using the process handle from CreateProcess, success coming about 10 minutes ago. Creating the task with the 'close' parameter is much easier and more reliable. Hi Sue, It is in fact documented, see: http://help.ec-software...

Re: eBook format creation

My only challenge now is closing the eBook when the application closes. Hi Sue, In your application's closing function: viewer_str:=path_str+'ewriter.exe'; content_str:='close'; if ShellExecute(0,'open',PChar(viewer_str),PChar(content_str),nil,SW_SHOWNORMAL)<=32 then ShowMessage('Sorry, unable to c...

Re: Cannot re-size Open Image dialog box

There should be a resize corner on the bottom right corner of the dialog. Open Image has a taller minimum height than some other dialogs, however, because it contains a lot of controls. If the corner is missing I would try restarting Windows before reinstalling. 8) Hi Tim, On my screen (Windows 7 a...

Hi Ga,

You can enter the required paddings directly in the box, separated by spaces. The settings are entered clockwise from the top:

Re: Open baggage link in a new window

Hi Thomas, In webhelp use an Internet link instead of a File link. Set the Target to a New window. The Address URL will be the same as your topic pages, i.e. instead of http://your_domain.com/webhelp/index.html enter http://your_domain.com/webhelp/your_file.pdf If you want to use a File link for out...

Re: Clicking Webhelp search results jumps to wrong position

This is a known problem on many web sites, caused by the browser calculating the anchor jump position before the page is fully loaded and rendered. It seems to afflict Firefox more than other browsers. The user fix is to wait until the page has fully loaded, click in the browser address bar, and pre...
