Re: Me, naive-&-ignorant-dept (translation sibling question)

Hi Dave, Hint: When you insert an image from elsewhere into a topic, H&M adds it into the first folder it finds in the search paths. So arrange the search paths with the /IMAGES/ folder first. Normally of course, you will have put the image there before using it anyway. But if not, you don't wan...

Re: Me, naive-&-ignorant-dept (translation sibling question)

Hi Dave, H&M doesn't store any file paths in the project, only file names. I didn't follow your diagrams, but all you need to do is: 1. copy/paste or drag your folders into the desired arrangement. It's best have /images/ and /snippets/ as sub-folders within you main project folder, unless you p...

Re: Webhelp_SlateGrey skin - what is "Contents" icon for?

Hi Dave,

You are looking at the main TOC template.

It will be in the HTML Page Templates > Default

Or at least I assume so (haven't looked).

Martin.

Re: Webhelp_SlateGrey skin - what is "Contents" icon for?

Hi Dave,

It's the Mini-TOC in the topic. Here you go (scroll down this image):

In the PP section in the CHM H&M Help only.

Re: WebHelp config On load expand all entries -- doesn't

Age 76? I'm 70 this year. :)

Is this a hobby project? Working to deadlines is for 25-year-olds. For the last 50 years I have simply refused to answer any question which begins with the word "when".

cheers,

Martin.

Here you go:

Re: Able to change logo in Webskin, but not its hotspot

Hi Dave,

In the Toolbox, click on Baggage Files.

In the list, open the HM_HEADERBOX.html file for editing.

I think the settings to which you refer are on the first line.

Edit it and Save it.

regards,

Martin.

Re: WebHelp config On load expand all entries -- doesn't

Dave Gehman wrote:Project. Where, pray tell, is the switch in the Premium Pack Toolbox?

Hi Dave,

I don't know, but your screenshot shows a V2 skin, so you should be able to:

1. close the toolbox.
2. open the skin in H&M as if it is a project.
3. make the change.
4. save it.

Martin.

Re: WebHelp config On load expand all entries -- doesn't

Hi Dave,

Are you sure you made that setting in the skin, and not in your project?

And did you save the skin after making it?

regards,

Martin.

Re: Toggle jump - in reverse?

But I'm still unclear how that works with WebHelp. Maybe because it's NOT dynamic, by the time the text reaches the Web, the snippet contents are already in place in both the tutorial and the Concept uses of the snippet? Hi Dave, I think you need to explain again what you are trying to do. At what ...

Re: Toggle jump - in reverse?

But -- how do I select only a section of a Topic -- that is, NOT use the whole topic? Hi Dave, Tim provided the link to the Snippet help. from which: _____________________________________________ Export selected text as a snippet: 1.Select text in the editor – the text can include anything that a t...

Re: Toggle jump - in reverse?

Is there a way to keep those linked sub-topics from appearing in the tutorial's toggled appearance? It looks as though, since I'm snippet-ing a topic, everything in the topic will appear in the toggle. Hi Dave, What you are asking for there is a way to pass parameters to a snippet. That isn't curre...

Re: Webhelp_SlateGrey skin doesn't have topic head

Hi Dave,

Have you got the text colour set to white? Try wiping across it with the mouse to find out.

Re: Toggle jump - in reverse?

I'm a bit confused. In H+M, when I edited the text that's linked in the toggle snippet, the toggle content reflected the edits - that is, it changed as well. It seems dynamic in that sense. Hi Dave, Tim meant dynamic in the sense that they are created at the time when the end user clicks on them. T...
