Thanks for the quick fix. At least the comments are recognized now.
It would be really nice if you could open this up for us.

Re: Syntax Highlighters
Tim,
I see that several highlighters have different kinds of Elements.
Is there some kind of extensibility model for this?
Or can I ask you to add our language "X#" and provide you with the details about what to put in there?

Syntax Highlighters
The editor in HM9 has several syntax highlighters. I need a new highlighter for our custom language (X#). This does not exist, so I use the general highlighter. This general highlighter shows that the comments are in C++ style. However, this highlighter does not mark /* */ comments as comment and al...

Looking up topics in a child chm file
I have a main project (which produces XSharp.chm) with a child project (XsharpRef.chm) that is generated by another tool. From C# code I try to show a help topic and show the TOC opened on the right location next to it. That works with Help.ShowHelp(null, fileName, HelpNavigator.Topic, topicFileName...

Suppressing Info Compiler messages
When building our output we see many Info Compiler messages for links to external files. These messages "pollute" the output and as a result we sometimes overlook warning messages.
Can we somehow control this and suppress the info messages ?

Web Help and date/time of files when skin is used
Hi, I noticed that even when I select the option in H&M to set the date/time of the generated html files to the date/time of the topic files, when I use a hmskin to skin the output then all files are written with the current date/time. Without skin this option works. I would really like to see w...

Re: Merging Sandcastle created help and Manually written hel
Tim, Ok, that is clear and unfortunate. SHFB allows us to add our own syntax component. Since we are creating a development language it is very important for us to also show examples in our own language, such as you can see at https://www.xsharp.info/runtimehelp/html/M_XSharp_RT_Functions_MemVarPut....

Re: Merging Sandcastle created help and Manually written hel
Tim, Sandcastle is now on Github (https://github.com/EWSoftware/SHFB) and is still being developed. W.r.t. the presentation styles, there are some things that we can do with SHFB (like adding syntax in our own development language) that require a more recent version of SHFB and a presentation style ...

Re: Merging Sandcastle created help and Manually written hel
Tim,
Thanks, I had totally missed that.
What about:
- choosing a presentation style and setting the other parameters
- updating Sandcastle to a recent version ?

Merging Sandcastle created help and Manually written help
H&M has added support to create help files using Sandcastle. I have tried to use this but I am a bit disappointed about the functionality: 1) This seems to be a one time only process that is part of the New Project wizard: you run the tool and create a H&M file. If your DLL files have update...

Dennis, Have a look at this, at the top of this forum section, that is probably exactly what you are looking for: http://helpman.it-authoring.com/viewtopic.php?t=8122 Thanks for the reference. This looks nice, but it does not do what I need: The class libraries that I need to document are not writte...

Documenting DotNet class libraries
I have 'inherited' a help project from another developer where the combination of HelpStudio and Document!X was used to document a DotNet development language and a set of class libraries. The generated output was a Help2 project. I would like to switch to Help and Manual for this documentation. Tha...
