an option to resize toggled image to fit current window

Not being a programmer, this is very likely a silly question. Would it be possible to have a option that dynamically sizes an expanded image as large as possible (up to 100%), yet still fit in the user's current window? I have several screen shots that are large and when expanded in the Lightbox the...

command characters and FireFox

Help files delivered from a Unix box and opened in FireFox are displaying some extra characters that do not show up in IE. Also, sometimes only the characters are displayed and none of the html. A Unix viewer shows the first line of the file as \357\273\277<!DOCTYPE HTML PUBLIC "-//W3C//DTD HTM...

Did this superb idea get any votes at product planning meetings?

It occured to me that the written description was ambiguous, so I've made a mock up. My thinking is that the user would enter a value in either the Width or the Zoom box, and the other box would be automatically recalculated.

drag and drop onto an anchor in current topic

It would be nice to be able to create a link to an anchor by selecting a word or phrase, and then dragging the selection onto an anchor in the current topic.

Thanks for listening.

size images by pixels

It would be great to be able to set an image's size by specifying how many pixels wide the image should be, and let H&M calculate the zoom%. To eliminate the need to horizontally scroll, I keep my content in a table 600 pixels wide. When placing an image that is larger than 600 pixels, it is tri...

It's good to hear the team is thinking about this. Tim, your response prompted me to experiment a bit. I created a new topic in the Topic Files and applied a Custom build. When I dragged the new topic to the TOC, the topic had no Custom build associated with it. I sort of expected the file to bring ...

add custom builds to Topic Options tab

In H&M5 it's fantastic to be able to select several topics in the TOC and assign a custom build to all. But sometimes it would be more convenient to assign a custom build in the Topic Options tab, ala H&M4. So here's a vote to adding the 'Buil d s which include this topic:' dialog from the H...

sorting custom builds

The screenshot shows that one of my custom builds appears at the bottom of the flyout listing the predefined builds. I presume that this is to indicate that there are custom builds, which is nice. H&M 4 sorted custom builds alphabetically, it seems that H&M 5 no longer does this. It would be...

I posted my 'request' only after losing a prolonged and vigorous internal battle with my better nature. When I read Tim's words I remembered some of the very late nights I've spent in the days before a release, and how humor can give an energy boost. My hat is off to the entire H&M team for the ...

Now and Then

(version 5) The Program option 'Automatically check for updates' includes the choice 'Now and then' (exquisitely precise!!). Is it possible to have user defined options? For example, "Halfway through a total lunar eclipse'. Perhaps there could be an option for when to STOP checking for updates?...

a 'Styles' report

I would like to be able to print out a report that shows the styles in my project; which styles exist, which styles are used, the font settings, paragraph settings, etc.

Thanks.

With Camtasia Studio 5, if you produce the video using 'Express Show' option, only one .swf file is produced. Insert that single file, and you don't need to do any code editing for the controller to show up in your Browser Based help.

Adobe's Acrobat Distiller will easily delete and insert pages from and into a PDF. It can do other tricks like cropping and rotating pages. I still use an antique version (4.0) and it works fine. I don't know much about the new version, and its latest bells & whistles, except that it's expensive...
