Re: One Web Help for IOS, Chrome and Windows

OK I actually found what I needed it appears that with the webhelp skins I was using, even though I set them to not to use frames they still do. If I use the specific skins that have Integrated IFrames, they appear to work correctly across all devices.

Re: Would you like proofreading functions?

Hi, When I can tee up a proof reader .. We tend to export to MS word and then turn on change tracking before handing over the document to the proof readers. This at least makes it easy for us to find the corrections or recomended changes in the word document using its inbuilt change tracking. As the...

Find\Replace Silly mistake but...

Hi All, I made a silly mistake yesterday. In my defence we are about to do a release next week and I am flat out trying to get the help text for the last changes in. I opened the Find dialog to do a Find All and was about to update a topic and I got distracted by some other people needing help. I tu...

Re: Insert Snippet window resisable and double click

Hehe there was short lived excitement here. I could not belive how lucky I was that the release with that mod came out on the day I am to start the tech wrinting for our next big yearly release that goes out at the end of January and I have many hundreds of snippets to insert. Oh well "Them's t...

Re: Insert Snippet window resisable and double click

Hi Tim, I excitedly downloaded the 6.02 maintenance update so I could try out the resisable snippet window. (when you use snippets hundreds of times a day it's the little things that help alot). Yes is resizes but the Lists on the form dont grow :-(. All the controls on the form just stay at the top...

Re: Insert Snippet window resisable and double click

Thats fantastic. I can't express enough how nice it is to work with a product where the authors are actually interested in working with their users to improve the product. I wish I was able to switched to Help & Manual sooner and maybe there would have been less of this :frustration: Kindest Reg...

Insert Snippet window resisable and double click

Hi, We use Help and Manual to maintain help text for a complex enterprise size application that for one thing consists of nearly 1000 reports. We tend to use snippets alot as alot of the descriptions can be the same from report to report. Just to make snippets a little easier to use, I would like to...

Re: Horz scrollbar bug back in chm output using PP 1.5

OK I have sent though a small project that has the same page twice. One behaves and one does not. Only thing I change is that a table on the faulty page is set to manually size to a percentage. Also included the compiled chm just in case. It's not a big problem for us as now I know the cause I have ...

Re: Horz scrollbar bug back in chm output using PP 1.5

Hi not trying to hijack the thread as I think this problem I just had is also related to this. I am new to Help and Manual and had just imported a large project from another authoring program into help and manual by importing the chm. I then applied text styles to everything and published a new CHM....
