File folder migration
Hi, Any tips on how to cope with a migration of H&M project folders without impacting a master file with linked projects? We currently have a master Webhelp file that contains numerous linked projects. We are planning a migration of the folders and files of these linked projects. However, when m...

Re: SDL Trados
Hi Ronan,
I don't think we were able to import the full projects in the end.
I think the translator is now using the separate XML files to translate.
Maybe Tim or someone else can comment on this issue?

Re: Invalid pointer operation during spell check
Hi Tim, I started with suggestion 3 and immediately won the golden ticket. I did not test on a "virgin" machine but created a local account on my PC, thus bypassing our domain. The error doesn't occur when using the local account. I suspect our domain policies are not installed. Need I loo...

Re: Invalid pointer operation during spell check
Hi Tim, I didn't expect this at all, but the error does occur on another machine. I had a colleague of mine install H&M 6.5.5 Build 3020 on her machine (Windows 8.1, 64bit). I let her start a new project, type some text in one of the topics and perform the spell check procedure as I do. She imme...

Re: Invalid pointer operation during spell check
Hi Tim, I'm suspecting the error is related to my system. I also get the error in new projects. I've even downgraded to H&M 6.2 and I still get the error, although it appears in a more extensive form (with the ability to send an error report, which I did). I'm 100% sure my problem is recent, mea...

Invalid pointer operation during spell check
Hello, I'm constantly getting an 'Invalid pointer operation' error at the end of a spell check in a topic. I can easily simulate this, even after rebooting the system: - Launch spell check (Current topic). - Skip all found occurrences with 'Ignore all'. - After the last occurrence, the error is show...

Re: Hyperlink from Webhelp always opens in new browser windo
Great, exactly what I was looking for, thank you. The reason I needed to op in the same window is as follows: The users of our software can call the Webhelp by pressing F1. This opens an integrated browser on a landing page with a language selection in the form of buttons. The language buttons in tu...

Hyperlink from Webhelp always opens in new browser window
Hi all, I've inserted two hyperlinks on the main page of my Webhelp. However, I cannot make the links open in the same browser window, regardless of the "Target window:" option when editing the hyperlink in H&M. When I select "Top frame" or "New window", the link op...

Restrict visibility of Webhelp for search engines
Hello, We have a large Webhelp that is essentially for our customers only. As the Webhelp contains lots of information on the working of our software, we would like to avoid that online searches for our software also include the Webhelp pages. Is there any way to do this, perhaps in H&M itself? ...

Re: Webhelp: including images in search
OK thank you guys,
I'll see what works best, the keyword indexing or Martin's suggestion (our Webhelp is private/customers only so I shouldn't worry about the Google indexing).

Re: Webhelp: including images in search
Hi Tim, Sadly that's not really an option for me since the screenshot of the button is part of the text. Would it be realistic to post a feature request in the Wish List section? Something like using alternative text for website images. This text is also not displayed, but it is/was taken into accou...

Webhelp: including images in search
Hi everyone, We have a large online help (Webhelp) of our software. In the help, instructions are often accompanied by a screenshot of the button to press. For example, we instruct our readers in the following way: "Press the [screenshot of Save button] button" instead of "Press the S...

Re: Getting rid of permalink icon
Hi Tim, I too had to look for it, but it's the variable HELP_URL_SHOW that needs to be set to false in the text variables of your skin. Further details can be found in het manual of the Premium Pack Skins: Help & Manual Premium Pack > WebHelp Skins > Configuration Variables: Permalink. Regards, ...

Re: Webhelp issue
Thank you Tim,
After quick testing, updating the skin seems to have fixed the problem.
I'm still wondering why my currently live webhelp did not suffer from this issue though, when it was built in June with the PP 2.41 skin...
Anyway, problem probably solved
