I must say that I agree. I also very much prefer having a dialog appear so that I can always give an image a meaningful name and save it where I want to. :) Hi Tim, :?: In 3.6.0.1073 a "Save Image" dialog appears when I paste images or mixed text and images into a topic. What am I missing/doing wro...

I'd say you'll be OK if you just use a spell checker configured for American English (e.g., "color" and "humor" rather than "colour" and "humour," etc.) Hi Tom, I think that is the easy bit. The difficulties are in the words which mean different things on each side of the pond. For example; momenta...

referring to instructions and learning about the background are actually two different activities. Hi Tim, I have found that most of the how-to instructions can be conveyed in images, as numbered call-outs on screenshots. This leaves the words in between for the more detailed background information...

Re: Importing Flash in H&M and Width/Height Problem

The video creation is fine and I export it from Camtasia Studio with a size of 609x435. If I go to H&M and import the video, by default, it displays the file size as 610x436. Hi, Camtasia is displaying the maximum pixel index, H&M is displaying the number of pixels. There is always a 1 pixe...

So the source for the THelpRouter component is in my Delphi directory, however there are no instructions on how to install it. This seems to be an arcane subject and I was hoping for some guidance. Hi Paul, The best starting point is to open the EHS help file. On my Delphi5 system: ...\Program File...

It is clear this component does exactly what I need.
Unfortunately I can't find it.

Hi Paul,

Download the EHS from http://www.ec-software.com/comppage.htm

Re: New RSS Feed Feature

H&M Forums now generates an RSS feed of the latest 25 postings on the forum. Hi Tim, Many thanks for setting up the RSS feed. It is working fine. For a feed reader I use the freeware Abilon from http://www.abilon.org which seems to work very well. I have set it to check every 10 minutes and pop...

Your solution is a fine compromise. Thanks! Hi Robin, Glad to help. I've never thought of Impict as having "layers" and I was surprised when Tim used the term. Each object is effectively a layer in its own right and can be moved forward and back, shown or hidden, etc., independently of all other ob...

Re: Impict hidden objects not "X"ed out on re-edit

Shouldn't the "X"-ed out objects still show their "X"s when you re-edit it? Hi Robin, I agree, it seems that the visibility icons in the object list do not get updated when an .ipp file is re-opened. However, putting everything in one .ipp file seems to me a confusing way of creating multiple graph...

Re: Reopen prior project keyboard shortcut

I'm too lazy to to <alt>-F, (R)eopen, and pick the number I was just on. Hi Robin, That looks like the Nobel prize for laziness! However, H&M is written in Delphi, so you can easily have several instances running if you wish, with different projects open in each. Alt-tab or one click to s...

do you think this is a limitation of Adobe fonts, or a bug in Impict with regard to Adobe fonts? Hi Jeff, This is a Windows restriction, not Impict. The Windows API function CreateFontIndirect , which is used to create a rotated version of a font at the required angle, works for TrueType fonts only...

Hi Peter,

In H&M and Impict: File > Reopen > menu items.

you must insert it with Insert > Plain HTML Code . Hi Tim, It's much quicker to insert a non-breaking space by simply typing ALT+0160 directly into the text. Admittedly you can't then tell the difference visually between that and an ordinary space. (0160 on the number-pad only, of course). Martin.

Re: Set Image whitespace when inserting as a cutaround

My additional wish would to be able to set the amount of whitespace from the text to the image edge If you use PaintShopPro to do your .bmp to 8-bit .png conversions, it's very easy to add whitespace around any image at the same time, using the Add Borders function. You can set up the border widths...
