Re: Wait after last animation

Thanks Tim.

That and the amazing Spotlight demo which Alexander posted would make HelpXplain just perfect. :)

cheers,

Martin.

Re: Wait after last animation

Hi Anders, I'm also waiting for a two-stage animation. Specifically move cursor...wait...click , which seems to me to be essential to replicate a video on mouse activity. So that a user has a chance to read the button or menu text before it is clicked and vanishes. Which in many cases would remove t...

Re: Wait after last animation

The workaround for the time being is to place a dummy object (e.g. a simple rectangle) somewhere on the slide and assign a simple "show/hide" animation with the desired delay. You can drag the object outside the slide's display rectangle to make it invisible. A dummy text object containin...

Re: HX MP4 output

The 2nd is to provide one-off "how-tos" to users who ask how do I something. Outputting an MP4 video would be perfect Hi Dan, My solution to that is to play the HX on my screen and record it to MP4 with a screen recorder. There is nothing to edit, so any screen recorder will do and it's q...

Re: Spotlight shape?

I am also having problems creating a screencast when I try to move or resize the capture window before starting recording. Pressing esc and restarting is the only solution. Resizing or moving is just not possible. Hi Paul, Before moving or resizing the capture rectangle, it needs to be unlocked. Cl...

Re: Spotlight shape?

I have tried using Picture tools, and effect lenses but I can't get this effect. As soon as I click Highlight the whole image is darkened. Hi Paul, After selecting the effects lens, did you draw it on the slide? Then click Highlight . Here's the sequence which works for me: hx_highlight.png cheers,...

Find/Replace within selected text

Most text editors include an option to find/replace within a selected block of text. This would be very handy at times in H&M.

replace all at least could be implemented locally in selected text without a change to TRichView.

Martin.

White-space option in font styles?

It would be good to have an option in Edit Styles > Font Settings to set the various CSS white-space options. Or at least the white-space:nowrap option. There is a word-wrap option in the paragraph settings, but that's not suitable for short strings within paragraphs which need to be all on the same...

Re: Apply nowrap to a string?

Thanks Tim.

I have now created duplicates of my body styles, and added white-space:nowrap to their CSS in my page template.

It's working fine, the only downside being that unlike non-breaking spaces it doesn't show in the text in the editor as a reminder.

cheers,

Martin.

Apply nowrap to a string?

I'm looking for an easy way to select a short string and apply nowrap to it? i.e. change all spaces to non-breaking spaces, or CSS white-space:nowrap; It's tedious to change all the spaces manually. I have a lot to do. Ideally such a function could be assigned to a shortcut, or maybe included in the...

4712 or 4713?

Something odd.

My H&M "About" splash says I'm using build 4712. Which is what I remember downloading last. When I check for updates, it reports "You are up to date".

But the build currently on the download page is 4713. :?

Re: Search Highlighting Persists in New Tab - Webhelp

Used a keyword to search our published Webhelp, and opened the topic in a new tab. Every instance of the keyword was highlighted, making the topic visually cluttered, with reduced usability. Any suggestions of how to "turn off" the highlighting after the search will be appreciated. Hi Jen...

Re: Move capture rectangle while screencast in progress?

The capture rectangle is automatically locked after the first capture. Like the automatic door-lock in your car. Stop screencast, unlock, then proceed. OK. But in that case there is a bug -- the mouse cursor changes to the Move cursor (crSizeAll) while it is over the red line, and over the green li...
