PDF split topic
Hi all. Hope someone can help with this simple solution... I can't find the setting to split topics in PDF without having to add manual page breaks. I have searched the forum and help file, but no joy. In Print Manual Designer, the Page Options for [Topics] > This Section Only > Topic Text > Page Br...

Marginal Notes for PDF Export
Hello all - Long time no see! New company, new manuals, new head-scratching. I'm converting Doc-2-help and Word documents into H&M. This time it's for pdf exporting for Marginal Notes on mirrored PDF exports. I've had a quick search and the previous time this was asked was in 2011 and the only o...

Re: Agile Documentation
Hello Tim Thank you for your quick response. I don't think I have the latest PP - And trying to see where to find the version number of Premium Pack! If not, I'll get it purchased and suggest this to the developers. We do use WebHelp with ours, but I don't publish to the server in our office. But th...

Agile Documentation
Good morning all. I've been quiet, but now I'm back, asking for some help with documentation. We've teamed up with a new company who are writing online software and doing it Agile - so changes are being put through every 2 weeks. Up to now, I've only dealt with 'final' software packages, where I get...

Drop Down display on Webhelp goes off screen
Hello all! (hope you've missed me!:))
I'm busy updating my help files again, and working on the styling etc.
I've noticed a problem though with the drop down - it goes off screen. See attached image.
It's very likely to be something that went wrong in the html, but not sure what.
Thank you all.

Authentication options within HTML
Hello all! remember me? :) (you still can't get rid of me!). Anyhoo - we had our annual PA-DSS testing, and the only complaint with our software is that the HTML (which is hosted on static pages), needs authentication as anyone with the link can access the help file without needing the software. Whi...

Re: Enable Webhelp Back Button
thank you all for your replies. We have referred this to our managed services department, as the way it currently works, the current session is ended whenever the help screen (and our report viewer) is opened. Because this happens, we need to think of another option. but it's not down to webhelp :) ...

Re: Enable Webhelp Back Button
Hi Tim, The 'problem' situation on the customer's site is that it opens the webhelp on the same page as the software application (instead of a new tab). It's a cloud based application so it runs from within a browser. So, where normally we only just close the 'help' tab, these sites don't have tab o...

Enable Webhelp Back Button
Hello Everyone, Long time no type :) I've done a quick search on the forum, but I'm not exactly sure what to search for.. And if this is in the wrong forum, please move (I thought of Tips & Tricks?) The problem I have is that some of our customers have extremely limited options within their appl...

Re: Dual Screen support
I get around this issue by making TNT not full screen, and then drag it to the screen I'm using. you only need the screen capture button on the active screen in order to 'activate' the screen. I tried to do a screenshot of it. the red line (and I use the term LINE loosely :)) indicates where one scr...

Re: Mobile Web View emulators / simulators
Thanks Tim, I DO in fact have the Andriod SDK, and I completely agree. And... we have all the devices to test on. What I'm after though, is a way to do a video capture of the sites working on the devices - without using an actual camera pointing at the device - my nails are chipped and that won't lo...

Mobile Web View emulators / simulators
Hi all, I hope you can help. I'm looking for a decent emulator or simulator (whatever it is called) to test a website out. I found a couple here and there, but unfortunately FireFox and IE both display a little arrow where there is a dropdown box (android-emulator.org etc). The reason I ask is I nee...
