If your files got corrupted it wasn't Help & Manual that did it -- it was interference from some other source while you were saving that caused the trouble, i.e. the interaction.

Please don't make this change to hh.dat on your users' computers! This will prevent all CHM files on their system from remembering their settings and your users might put you right up at the top of their hit list (not in the positive sense) if this happens...
