Robert,

No change. If you copy and paste with Ctrl+C and Ctrl+V you will get a genuine copy. If you do it with the mouse with Ctrl+Drag you will get a second reference, that was always the way it worked.

Hi Steve, I'm sure the sidebar isn't that uncommon, I just wasn't clear about what it was you were doing from your description... :) Am I missing something? Can H&M be coaxed to generate the <object> style of hyperlink for external hyperlinks? Not at the moment -- the way the links are created i...

Joe, The correct way to edit that link is to right click and use the Edit option Either that or just double-click on the link. Anything else is an operation error. But, if you highlight the link and then use the Insert Hyper-Link button on the toolbar, the resulting popup maintenance screen named In...

Steve, As far as I understand it (and I'm really not sure I do) your "sidebars" are an external window technology, a supplement of some kind to HTML help which you have programmed yourself (unfortunately you don't say how, or whether or how your sidebar is related to HTML Help). However, i...

Sonia, Your description of what you are doing is quite complex and I am not entirely sure I have understood it. However, a text style (whether on its own or part of a paragraph style) always has a font attribute, so that is a limitation. However, in your case I think there is a simple solution: You ...

Thanks for the link, I must have forgotten to make a note of it, that's why it didn't make its way into the current version of the help. Sorry about that all...

Luba, Ask your client if they are opening the CHM on a network drive with registry editing changes to make this possible. If this is the case, this is probably the cause -- even with CHMs allowed in the registry several things still don't work. Another possibility is that this may have something to ...

Hi, maybe you should not use the "bad" Word Gm... for google Mails... This is an English forum and most of the people in the world still refer to Google Mail as gmail. If some minor German provider wants to prevent them from doing that he's going to have to sue millions of people all over ...

web.de Addresses Banned from the Forum

Due to the very large number of recent porn spam registrations using web.de addresses I have been forced to ban web.de accounts from the forum. This means that if you have a web.de email account you will need to change your email address to an account using a different provider. I am very sorry for ...

Robert, Switching "Force ANSI" on doesn't change the encoding of existing text, only of new text created after that point. To change existing Unicode text to ANSI you need to reapply the style after changing the setting. In a fully-styled paragraph you only need to click in the paragraph a...

Joe, I'm sorry, I don't quite understand what your problem is. What is it about the link that you don't like or that is not working for you?? The positioning of JavaScript popups is a known issue and is on the Wish List. The problem is that at the moment they are always displayed slightly be...
