Re: Microsoft HTML Help compiler error
I just read your post with the images again and noticed that you couldn't find the skin on the default "get me started" example. Try installing the latest copy again and double check where it's installed. Unless there are administrative rights, the default folder on your c: drive should do.

Re: Microsoft HTML Help compiler error
I'm sure Tim will have a solution for you. In the meantime, I'll see if I can find out what else can be done. Did you run the install from your office pc (downloaded at office) or from a copy from home? Could it be administrator rights that you might need to install the software? sorry for all the q...

Re: Microsoft HTML Help compiler error
Quick question... the chm, is that on your local drive or on the network? It's a known Microsoft security issue that .chm files does NOT run off the network. try copying it to your local drive and try again. If you do a webhelp compile, does that work? ps. this section shows a workaround if needed. ...

Re: Microsoft HTML Help compiler error
Hi Susie, can you try and update the Help Compiler? Maybe something went wrong initially with the install at work. http://www.ec-software.com/downloads_mscomp.html what you can also try is to open one of the example H&M projects included in the install and compile without any changes. That shoul...

Ignore Prefix in Hyperlink search screen
I use Topic ID prefix with all my projects (always thinking ahead - for the day I have to merge projects). I have a lot of hyperlinks / topic links in my project. It's not a major issue, but it will be really nice to be able to have a free text search when searching for a topic. eg. Topic ID Prefix ...

Re: Text resize
Hi Tomek,
I can't find the settings at the moment in H&M to enable.. but you can use ctrl and + or - to enlarge and shrink text.
Hope this helps.

Re: Print Manual Designer always opens blank
It is not impossible that it's something I'm doing. Maybe it's because I use a current project to create a new one? because I have all the settings I need, instead of copying, I just copy the whole folder and rename & delete as required. I know, it's most likely not the best practice, but it wor...

Re: Print Manual Designer always opens blank
I'm afraid not..
This specific project, although it's is in a task - I run the PDF on its own at the moment through Publish.
I also only have one template that I use in this project... :S
Strange!

Print Manual Designer always opens blank
Hi all, I know this has been mentioned before and because I don't do a lot of PDF manuals, I thought I was doing something a bit wrong. However, I am working on a project and when I go to "Manual Designer" (from the Project toolbar), a blank pdf template is displayed. I have this saved in ...

Re: Record Macro in H&M
It seems that it didn't take as long as I thought it would to change all the tables.
Now I hope I don't change my mind.... again

Re: Record Macro in H&M
After a quick search, I found autohotkey which seems to be what I'm after.
Unfortunately I can't download it because of office policy.
Not to worry.

Record Macro in H&M
After the Table Shortcuts discussion, I had another thought: without a fancy spangly keyboard (I actually had one at home before the 'coffee incident of 2007') - Is there a way to capture a macro? I know it can be done in Excel and Word.... but just something to just capture a little automation scri...
