Re: topic link font color
Styling hyperlinks like this for HTML output can be achieved with a few lines of additional CSS code in the skin you are using to publish your project. The standard WebHelp skins included in Help & Manual and the Premium Pack skins already contain this code, you just need to edit it for your per...

Re: No SVG animation in eWriter output?
Can you bundle WebView2 with eViewer per Distribute your app and the WebView2 Runtime? It's a little problematic because of its size (over 150mb) and the need to continue supporting the EXE eWriter version as well, with the viewer embedded in the help file. WebView2 is now rolling out slowly in Win...

Re: Embedded pdf files not loading into pdf output document
Some pdf files are linked, while others are not. ... When going to the published document, most linked pdf files have yellow icons and can be opened, while others have no icons and therefore do not open. I'm guessing that you actually mean embedded in the PDF here when you write "linked",...

Re: Output of .html in V5 Coolmax (instead of .htm)
Hi Birgit, In the V3-V5 Premium Pack skins the index.html file is actually a regular topic file, just like all the others (it's the default topic). Because of this, it's very important that this file and all the other topic files have the same extension (.htm, .html or .php). And because it's so imp...

Re: Embedded pdf files not loading into pdf output document
Hi Mark, If you link to a PDF with a file link and want to embed it, you also need to activate the embedding option for *.pdf in Configuration > Publishing > PDF Layout. For example, if you want to embed, PDF, DOCX, and XLS files, the entry for the file link embedding should be (note the commas!): *...

Re: No SVG animation in eWriter output?
Hi Gerold, Is this supposed to work? Unfortunately, no: This is because the only universally available WebView component in Windows for rendering HTML is still based on Internet Explorer -- and not even the latest version of that. The WebView2 component is based on the Chromium/Blink engine that is ...

Re: 'Allow Edit Picture With > ...' For toggle images
Hi BIll, I just noticed that you didn't get an answer to this when you originally posted it. Sorry about that -- I'm not quite sure how I missed it. Life is easy again :-) To make it even easier, download our new free SnipSVG screenshot and graphics editing program and configure it as Help+M...

Re: Embedded pdf files not loading into pdf output document
Hi Mark, You don't say how you are including these documents: Are you embedding them directly in the flow of the original document as PDF snippets, or are you embedding hidden within the PDF for display with links? It sounds more like the latter. As a general principle, I would recommend against try...

Re: PHP Search and V5 Coolmax?
Hi Birgit, You're setting the search options in your project, and those settings are being overriden by the corresponding settings in the skin. You just need to set the PHP search platform in the skin. To do this in Toolbox, edit the skin in Toolbox, then select Edit > Search Settings > View/Edit Se...

Re: Desktop border
Hie Stewart, To be honest, I hadn't even noticed the small border myself. I had always seen it as something positive, because on light-colored windows it makes the window edges clearly visible and on dark ones you generally don't see it. But I can see how it might sometimes be something you would wa...

Re: Keyword search in Skin "Webhelp, Responsive Grey, Keywordslist.hmskin"
Hi Marc, This is a rather old function that only really works well with relatively short keyword indexes. If you have a longer index I recommend using one of the skins without the keyword list function, or one of the Premium Pack skins with index support, which have a proper index search function. :?

Re: Unclosed <h1> leads to empty heading line in V5 CoolMax
Hi Birgit, Thanks for reporting this. This is a simple typo in the source code of the template that didn't get found because current browsers are so forgiving of errors like this. You can fix it with a simple edit. Open the .hmskin file in Toolbox (make sure you have configured your code editor in P...

Re: Resizing text
Hi Taylor, The Premium Pack skins include an option for the user to resize the text within the user interface. You can see this in action in the online version of the Help+Manual documentation here: https://www.helpandmanual.com/help/index.html Select the hamburger menu at the top right and there yo...

Re: Content reflow
Thank you for this. I don't believe we have tables on most pages but we still have issues with this, unless you mean the table of contents? We would need to see an example with the specific content you are using, along with the specific skin you are using to generate your WebHelp. You can mail it t...
