Re: Topic Keywords - can they apply to dynamic content?
In that case, I think we need some PHP scripting in the topic, to pull in the <body> section of a linked page. That won't work either, because it is also something that gets pulled in at runtime. Hi Tim, ??? I'm using Zoom Indexer in spider mode on the live web site. When it requests the HTML page ...

Re: Topic Keywords - can they apply to dynamic content?
Thanks Tim.
In that case, I think we need some PHP scripting in the topic, to pull in the <body> section of a linked page. I will have a look at that, it would be useful for my own stuff. I want to upgrade my Zoom Indexer to the latest version, and make better use of it.
cheers,
Martin.

Re: Topic Keywords - can they apply to dynamic content?
In this case, the desired HTML is on the Web, residing in a virtual folder that is different from the server folder that contains the WebHelp output Hi Dave, Instead of an iframe, you could use a data object. In that case the linked content becomes a part of the parent page and the search indexer w...

Re: Topic Keywords - can they apply to dynamic content?
Hi Dave, Have you considered getting your own stand-alone version of the Zoom Indexer: https://www.zoomsearchengine.com/zoom/ H&M uses a cut-down built-in version of the Zoom Indexer for its search. But if you had your own stand-alone version you could run it on your web site on the server after...

Hi Peter,
It works normally if you undock the TOC. Recently discussed here: https://helpman.it-authoring.com/viewto ... =6&t=16426
cheers,

Re: Wrapped around the axle re: combining projects
Thanks Tim. p.s. I'm not using skins these days. It's just so much simpler to have everything in one place in the project, and edit the HTML templates directly. I can use multiple topic page templates, add any scripting I like without fear of it conflicting with a skin, and bolt on any bits of Mecca...

Re: Wrapped around the axle re: combining projects
Hi Tim, Can you clarify a bit more about what happens when copying and pasting topics between separate instances of H&M? What happens about several of the project settings in the donor project -- such as the styles, text variables, custom page templates? Does any of that get pasted/combined, or ...

Re: Wrapped around the axle re: combining projects
Hi Dave, Just try publishing to CHM - H&M will provide download links for obtaining the CHM compiler if it's not already installed. It would probably be better not to use any CHM skin. The image file names will be preserved and the images appear normally. They are saved into the first folder in ...

Re: Wrapped around the axle re: combining projects
Hi Dave, No doubt Tim will provide chapter & verse on the official method shortly. However, a quick method which I have used in the past is to publish to CHM from the donor project, and then import the CHM into the recipient project: hm_import_chm.png You get all the topic text, images, most bag...

Home page Projects icon gone missing
Hi Tim,
I upgraded to H&M 8.1.0 and now this is the Home page:
I'm sure there was previously a Projects icon in the row for my current project(s).
I used it often. Can we have it back please? Thanks.
cheers,
Martin.

Re: Open image dialog - preselect current
It would be nice. Unfortunately there is no Windows open file dialog that supports that. Hi Tim, It's easy to do if you use the old Windows3.1 controls, TFileListBox etc. Which work just fine in Delphi and on Windows10. I use them myself to provide greater flexibility than the standard Windows Open...

Re: Allow mouse wheel scrolling on TOC without switching focus
It would be a nice feature if the mouse wheel would allow scrolling on the TOC pane while the focus stays on the editor pane - similar to the behaviour in windows explorer. Hi Thomas, It works in H&M if you undock the TOC. See recent discussion: https://helpman.it-authoring.com/viewtopic.php?p=...

Re: Mouse wheel scrolling on hover
How would overwrite mode save time? Hi Ron, It's primarily for updating numeric data in tables. Usually having a fixed-width font. In overwrite mode you just type in the new data without having to think about deleting the old. It's much easier to avoid mistakes with columns, decimal points and lead...

Re: Mouse wheel scrolling on hover
In an emergency if I'm having to review allot of chapters, the extra time to size/position might be worth the effort now that I know how to make it work  Hi Ron, I agree that it would be nice if HM8 remembered the docked state. But given that it does remember the size and position of the m...
