Funny, the big font size is the one thing I don't like about it.

Sours an otherwise professional interface for me.

Can't please all the people all the time...

Multi-user editing is available in the Professional version only. Not the Standard.

Don't worry about niggles, I can take it. On June 24th I will have been managing this forum for ten years... Quite an achievement. Congrats. "Managing this forum" is rather an understatement of your contribution in that time. You are one of the reasons I keep coming back to this...

Re: Insert PDF as image

You would normally insert this as a TIFF or bitmap then H&M can output the final project to screen or PDF format.

Re: Thinking technical writing

I have never used H&M for help files or documentation in the sense that I think you mean. Its Webhelp output generates a self-contained website with a built-in tree collapsible menu, search and indexing system so it lends itself to practically any form of website where you can store information ...

"However, the most important fault of Help+Manual is the impossibility of search dialog to find a text when it has different formats throughout its string." On this point, I agree with you. It trips many people up making the feature unusable. http://helpman.it-authoring.com/viewtopic.php?t...

Re: Release notes for 6.03. 2401

Looks like the download link arrived on the website before the changelog did. It's definitely not there yet. :-? First thing I do when a new version is released, even before I download, is to always check the changelog (release history) to see what's changed. Hope it's posted on the website soon as ...

You can achieve this using CSS alone. No Javascript required.

Re: Remove Highlighting from Search results

Yes, I see what you mean in the final output, Heidi. Though it only works in one direction AFAICS - switches (clears) highlighting off permanently in that page view. You have to perform another search to get the highlighting back. I would prefer it if the button was a toggle to switch highlighting o...

Re: You do not have the required permissions to ....

The problem is, it will disappear again the next time phpBB is updated. Yes, everyone running phpBB faces the same issue. However, sometimes you're lucky if the updated files don't include the one you've modified. This made every update a nightmare that often took many hours to perform, so I've dec...

Re: You do not have the required permissions to ....

Thanks winsteps, I see it. @Tim: there's a quickfix if you edit the hard-coded message in /language/en/viewtopic.php (line 54 in default install). Re: Remove Highlighting from Search results

I noticed there was an option to Remove Higlighting from search results, which I found quite handy. I couldn't find anything on H&M, so thought I'd put it on the wish list. :) It's there but it's not entirely obvious - you need to dig. In Project Explorer: Configuration > Publishing Options > W...

Re: View topic text and Options too?

You normally find an answer to a question directly after posting the question publicly. 8) Yes, usually by working it out for yourself after hours of pondering, reading the same page over and over, repeatedly going around in circles and hitting brick walls and debating with yourself (and losing) if...
