With the next update. I cannot tell you more at the moment - we are working on a new maintenance release with several minor fixes for H&M, Impict and the manual designer.

I'd like to take a look at the manual template. Would you send me the ".mnl" file with an email, please? Send it to <support @ ec-software.com>, if possible compressed with Winzip. Thank you!

Isn't T.N.T Screen Capture what you need? It does capture and print screen shots. You take a screen shot and click "File|Print" to send it to the printer.

Perhaps the .h file is the .hm file which can be found in the temp-directory of the project after compiling
Yes, this is the same. .hm stands for help map, a text file with context number / topic ID mappings.

It seems to me like a bug, too. But more like a bug in the printer driver. Which operating system do you use and did you specify a "reference device" (a printer driver) for the PDF output in Tools|Customize ? If yes, does it help to specify a different printer as reference device? This sho...

Confirmed, this is a bug in the current version of Impict and there's no workaround. We are working on a fix.

I am afraid I cannot help you much with VB. I cannot even judge whether the tutorial is good or not.

You could either contact the author of that tutorial (Don Lammers)
or try one of the following sites for more info on VB:

Gotcha. I did not understand what you mean. This is a bug, the save options must be disabled when you switch back to "IPP". The options displayed in the screen shots above aren't used at all here.

Oops! While checking this I just discovered a small bug! This is not a bug, it's by design. An IPP file is a collection of objects and it's general in true color (required to make the semi-transparent effects and shadows possible). The IPP format - and only this format - can retain the orginal obje...

Copy an image with the name "bullet.bmp" in the project folder.
This image overwrites the built-in image and replaces it. Quick and painless.

I could imagine that this has something to do with the language and the default font. You would help me if you sent me the help project before and after the erratic change. When it happens to fail, just save the project under a different file name. Then pack both, the original and the changed hm3 fi...

Let me repeat it: • You first take a screen capture in Help & Manual • You save the image with 256 colors • You open the same 256 color image with Impict • You save it with 16 colors in Impict • If you open it again with Impict, it's black & white Is that correct? I tried to duplicate it tha...

Help & Manual 3.2.0 Build 704 (Patch for table problem)

We have released a patch for Help & Manual, version 3.2.0 build 704. This update fixes the problem that some tables (especially without grid lines) did not allow to resize columns with the mouse. A second bug fix is for batch compilation: the help project was required to be read/write enabled ju...

The skins are Delphi forms, as you already discovered. They are saved in binary format (not text) because the viewer is compiler with Delphi 3 and does not understand the text format. Delphi 3 creates much smaller exe files than the recent versions, that's the reason. I doubt that most of our users ...
