Re: Text Indent
Hi Kevin, If you want formatted text in an object, the best way is to select the object, then right-click, and Edit HTML Source Code . You can paste in HTML from anywhere -- such as a topic page from H&M or even a nested HelpXplain. I think Alexander is working on a full WYSIWYG HTML editor, but...

Re: Spotlight size / Cursor size
Hi Kevin,
While adjusting spotlight size, the actual size is shown in the status bar at the bottom of the screen. If you need to get them the same size.
cheers,
Martin.

Re: Page margins (white space) in Webhelp output with PP ski
Hi Ed,
Don't forget also that you can add left and right indentations in your style paragraph settings. Which gives you a bit more control because you can extend to the full page width in places if you need to.
cheers,
Martin.

Open H&M's Help -- if the Premium Pack is installed you will see a TOC entry for it, and the version number. See:

Re: Export to YouTube
So yes, it is possible but not very easy. At least not with freeware. Hi, For a free screen recorder you might like to try the free version of FlashBack Express (it's not Flash): https://www.flashbackrecorder.com/express/ The Recorder component is the same as in the Pro version. In Tools > Options ...

Re: WebHelp - Topics not collapsable in Firefox and Chrome
We always had our web help locally since we deliver it with our software product. Hi Christian, Does it work when displayed from within H&M after publishing? If so, you need to include with your software product the HM2GO mini web server utility which EC Software provide free for the purpose. Y...

Re: Wait after last animation
Would "autoplay mode-->Show Duration" do what I'm seeking? On the Slide transition menu? Or does that only affect the length of the transition itself? Hi Hitch, "Transition" applies to the interval between slides, not the display time for a slide. See my previous post. "Aut...

Re: Wait after last animation
If I simply add an element (like a numbering sequence) that is NOT animated, there's no delay available. Or Duration, pause etc. Hi Hitch, If you add an object without applying any animation to it, it simply displays as part of the slide, for the full time that the slide is displayed. cheers, Martin.

Re: Wait after last animation
Hi Hitch, What you called "animating" a slide is called a "Transition". The slides are laid out on a canvas as in the Overview frame (click the top item in the list). You can drag them around on the canvas, rotate them, etc. The transition defines how you get from one slide to th...

Re: Wait after last animation
Hi Hitch, If you set the spotlight animation to Follow Cursor, the timings are copied from the Cursor. The spotlight is simply linked to it. You need to change the Cursor timings to get the result you want. ("Follow" here means "at the same time" not "take place afterwards&q...

Re: Wait after last animation
but I do not see any place where I can say "this slide should display for X seconds." It seems a no-brainer that this should exist, but I do not see it. Hi Hitch, Make sure you have selected the slide , and not the image it contains. The way to select a slide is via the list on the left, ...

Hi Dale,
Click the second item in the Project Explorer, showing the project file name (between the "Welcome" and "Table of Contents" lines).
It shows the most recently worked-on topics, with links to them.
cheers,
Martin.

Re: Wait after last animation
Hi Hitch, Have you set any animations On Exit ? I don't use any of those, because I don't understand what they are intended to achieve. The slide will jump to the next one before anyone can see what happened. It might be useful for a fade-out animation. All my animations are on slide Entry : hx_slid...

Re: Wait after last animation
p.s. Did you try this control, in the Publish dialog:
I haven't tried changing it. I don't know how it interacts with the duration settings on each slide. Probably it is a global modifier factor.
cheers,
Martin.
