Re: I need a consultant
It's already been done for you, David. In H&M, click File > Open then browse to the MyHelpandManual Projects folder which was created on your hard drive when you installed H&M. There you'll find an Examples folder created by Tim Green (who moderates this forum and writes the help file for th...

Re: Importing new templates
Can we, for example, modify one of the existing templates and then save it for our future use? That's one of the strengths of H&M. The templates are fully customisable. The key is to start with a H&M template rather than your own. Then tweak it. As Tim says, which output format are you usin...

Re: Can't see comments - or comment icon in TOC
Unfortunately Comment icons no longer appear in the TOC in version 5 (as they did in version 4).
Regrettably, only Bookmarks do now.

Re: Premium pack Question
All 1.x updates are free.
(Version 2.x, when released, will be a paid for upgrade, I believe).
When you purchased the Premium Pack, the email you received contained a download link and a password.
Re-visit that download link to get the latest version.

So, to answer the intriguing question Tim, is that a No or a Not Yet or a Don't Hold Your Breath?

Re: Webhelp publishing
The question is, would it just make it worse to switch back to "compile" in HM6... Not at all. I'm in the "don't understand why they changed that" camp too. Feel free to change it back to Compile. Perhaps run a poll on the forum? Compile is better than publish for what H&...

Re: premium pack 1.3 slate blue skin not displaying TOC corr
Don't confuse ubiquity with popularity. It's not the most widely-used browser because people like it, but just because it's there. I'm always careful to make that distinction myself too. That's why I said "widely used" (because it's there) not "most popular" (because they want t...

Re: premium pack 1.3 slate blue skin not displaying TOC corr
Quite apart from the security concerns, which have actually got a lot better recently, this is why most web programmers wish that IE would simply go away. It wastes our valuable time for no good reason and makes it much more difficult and sometimes impossible to develop good web applications. As yo...

Re: How To Do please
Hi am redoing my helpf ile and would like to use the same sort of layout H&m uses in their own help file (if it is possible and allowed of course) Allowed and encouraged by EC Software (creators of Help and Manual). Tim Green (author of the H&M Help file) often explains his methods here in ...

Re: premium pack 1.3 slate blue skin not displaying TOC corr
Not everyone agrees with Tim's entertaining anti-IE tirades :) (Thankfully, he has plenty of other great qualities so he can be forgiven for the occasional outburst  ). I tried but uninstalled IE 9 because... they removed the drop-down list associated with the Back button, a feature i use a lo...
