Re: eWriter Creator Loses Help Contexts
Hi Tim, Thank you very much for your response. One question; when you mention " the HTML page template ", do you mean the file " defaultPageTemplate.html " which is inside the " WebHelp3_HM7_hmskin_HTML_Templates " folder itself inside the " Flat_Blue_Diamond_eWrit...

Re: eWriter Creator Loses Help Contexts
Hi Tim, Thank you very much. As you suggested, I switched from post-processing the .js and .html files of the temp folder to pre-processing the .xml files of the topics folder, and now it works fine. Except for one minor issue. How do I turn off the title of the html page from appearing in the title...

eWriter Creator Loses Help Contexts
Hi, To be able to display a footer that is "per-topic" (instead of being the same for all pages, based on index.html), as shown in the screenshot below, I need to post-process the .ewriter temp files generated by H&M and "re-compile"using the eWriter Creator. This works quite...

Re: eWriter not Saving Menu Options in .ewcfg File
Hi Tim,
Sorry, I thought that referring to "eWriter.exe" would be unambiguous.
It was meant to reduce confusion, not add to it.
Very best regards,
Olivier

Re: Exporting to eWriter Ignores Choice of .HTM File Extension
Hi Tim,
Actually, the post-processing for eWriter files turns-out to be so different from the one for WebHelp and CHM, that I ended-up writing a new module for the eWriter format.
Very best regards,
Olivier

Re: eWriter not Saving Menu Options in .ewcfg File
Hi Tim, I had downloaded it 2 days ago (when I started to look into the eWriter format). Anyways I re-downloaded it and its is the exact same EXE, binary-wise. It seems that it looks for the INI keys in the wrong section of the EWCFG file. I copied the entries HasMainMenu=0 and HasContextMenu=0 into...

Exporting to eWriter Ignores Choice of .HTM File Extension
Hello, When I use H&M 8.2 to export to the eWriter format, I am unable to force the generated HTML files (in the temp folder) to use the .HTM file extension. Below are the settings I am using in both H&M and my skin. Very best regards, Olivier https://www.qppstudio.net/fora/2021-01-07_12-03-...

eWriter not Saving Menu Options in .ewcfg File
Hi,
The eWriter.exe does not save my choice made not to have either of the 2 menus.
I deactivate both menus but it makes no difference and they are back when command-line compiling.
Is there a workaround ?
Very best regards,
Olivier

Re: Skin for eWriter
Hello again,
I found the file "eWriter.exe""which allows me to address Point 4, above.
And, when testing it, I found the solution to Points 1 and 2, as well.
So the only issue left seems to be Point 3 above.
Very best regards,
Olivier

Re: Skin for eWriter
Hi Tim, Thank you very much for your response. I have used a V3 eWriter skin and managed to tweak it to close to what I have with my CHM file. But I still have a few issues (see screenshot at the bottom for reference): How can I change the icon at the top-left of the title bar ? Currently it shows t...

Skin for eWriter
Hi,
I am looking into replacing my CHM files with an eWriter EXE.
I have 2 PP skins, tweaked to my liking, one for CHM and one for WebHelp.
Which one should I (can I) use ? Or do I need to tweak one specific to the eWriter format ?
Very best regards,
Olivier
