Re: PDF Output - visual quality
Hi Wolfgang, as Tim mentions from time to time here you will normally get better results with a printer driver. On Windows 7 you can use the XPS Document writer. Using the screen as reference may depend on the screen resolution and/or graphics driver. On my system at the work place I have an ATI gra...

Re: Language Setting unexpectedly affects date format
This was also dicussed here . On one side I think it is a good change. Why? I have a German Windows with regional settings set to German (Germany). My projects are multilingual so I have the timestamp formated as it is used normally in the country. On the other side it is not a good idea to have no ...

Re: How do I remove instructions from hmskin header?
This is part of the skin.
Open the skin and go to Configuration -> Export Settings -> Webhelp -> Layout.
You will find the text in a div section at the start of the body. Use CTLR-F and search for <body>.

Re: Ability to export your styles
Hi Darren,
that is what the repository is for.
I have a repository where I have all my styles. My projects are connected to this repository. Any changes to the styles will be applied with the next publish.
Look in the help for More Advanced Procedures > Working with Style Repositories.

Re: Moving H&M V6.5.5 Project to H&M V7
Hi Ivonne, for each extention of a file you can have only one application which will be opened automatically. Since the extentions didn't change the last installed program will be used. If you are firm in editing the Registry you can change it to have H&M6 the default program. It is not a good i...

Re: Moving H&M V6.5.5 Project to H&M V7
Hi Ivonne, Q1: I must leave this to Tim. I didn't use SVN integrated with H&M. My projects aren't version controlled until now. Q2: Nothing to do. The project is connected to the repository and H&M7 will find it. Q3: I haven't made any changes to my PDF template. If you don't plan to use H&a...

Re: Running H&M 7 while stell keeping H&M 6?
You can have H&M6 and H&M7 side by side on one system.
If you migrate a project to H&M7 you can open it in H&M6 if you don't use any of the new features. It will open but the new features will not be used.
Yes the import for hpj and hlp files is possible.

Re: Premium Pack 2.70 update
Tim, I installed 3608 and did before: The helpman.chm file is dated 16.06.2015 09:52. I reimported that file to H&M7. There isn't a TOC reference to the PlusPack. I renamed this file to helpman.chm$. After the installation the helpman.chm file is dated 24.06.2015 17:22. This one is working as ex...

Re: Expand - Enlarge Image Toggles in CHM
I discussed that thing already during the beta phase.
It works, great solution.
I think Tim should make a reference from the Tipps and Tricks corner to Alexanders post or copy it.

Re: Premium Pack 2.70 update
Tim, if the project in C:\Users\Public\Documents\My HelpAndManual Projects\Examples\HelpAndManual7 is the source of the current help (I think it is) I have found something you need to check. In this project for the topic PlusPack.chm::\Pluspack.hhc the checkbox "Content is merged ..." is c...

Re: Screenshots and copyright? What do you think?
Hi Simon, the copyright is different in different countries. In the European Community (EC) there was a harmonisation which should be now realised in all EC countries. The standard is that you have all rights. The US copyright is the other way. You need to make a statement not to give away the right...

Re: Premium Pack skins an cookies
Cookie or not cookie that's the question. What makes this all rather silly is that Google Analytics is not included in it at all, because it doesn't use cookies. This website uses Google Analytics, a web analytics service provided by Google, Inc. ("Google"). Google Analytics uses "coo...

The helpman.chm file is dated 16.06.2015 09:52. The PlusPack.chm is dated 22.06.2015 11:23. The installation location is the default location: C:\Program Files (x86)\EC Software\HelpAndManual7\Templates\HTML Skins\Premium Pack 2.70 I installed it again, no change. Installing it into H&M6 is work...

Premium Pack skins an cookies
When publishing a PP skin I can activate cookies to store the last open tabs. Today you are forced to get the agreement to do so. There are a lot of websites out there where you get a popup "We are using cookies, allow us to store them". I'm not a lawer when you must show this popup. I thi...
