Hi Mike,

Click the "Show paragraph and text marks" toolbutton.

You can search and replace tabs by copying and pasting
the displayed tab arrow symbol into the Find dialog.

Re: Invisible Topics and Custom Build

I have a minor problem with invisible topics because they are being compiled into Browser Based Help, although they are not marked for my custom build. Hi, Are you sure that they are being freshly compiled each time? Try clearing your output folder before each compile. There is an option to do this...

The editor seems to have a lot of little "features" like this - not fatal but certainly irritating. Any way to auto-forward these topics to them? Hi Dean, I don't know about auto-forward, but you can contact Sergey Tkachenko (author of the RVF editor) via: http://www.trichview.com/contact...

But in this special case I'm describing a software which is allways on top too. So if you press F1 to get help to a window, you can't see the help window because it always lies behind the program window. Hi Sabine, Most software gets round a problem like this by minimising the program to the taskba...

Martin, thanks for your effort - glad to know that I am not seeing ghosts here :D Hi Morten, You're welcome. But please note that the conditional workaround which I mentioned works properly only in WinXP. In Win98SE the reduced image is scaled by a different amount, shifted out of position and crop...

I think the only way to make that image fit would be to either scale it in the editor or make merged cells so that it extends to the left. Hi Tim, I tried to create a table using Morten's figures. It is possible to to create a table using column widths 150, 20, 854, which prints fine in PDF/Print O...

Re: Searching Topics on the H&M Forums

When I search a topic and my results list several entries, I click on "back" to go to the next topic and I get an invalid screen. How do I get back to my search results to select the next topic? Hi, Hold down the Shift key when you click on a topic to read it. It will then open in a separ...

This will generally work, but if you want it without the paragraph tags you need to insert the entire list as a code object, including its text. Hi Tim, Not necessarily. You can separate the list items with hard line breaks (Shift-Enter) instead of paragraphs. This puts the entire list in a single ...

Re: xhtml 1.1 export option exports an unsupported attribute

it would really be worthwhile if you could get the lists to work using the <ul> <ol> tags only, but I guess that's one for the wish list :!: Hi, No, you can do that now. Just use Insert > Plain HTML Code... to insert a <LI> tag at the beginning of each paragraph which you want bulleted. You can cop...

thanks for your idea! It's a lovely solution for my problem! :D Hi, Thanks for all the kind words. However, it's not my idea -- I have seen it used on several web sites. The roundels are a bit too big. I created them as callouts in Impict, and on Win98SE it seems that Impict's shadow function fails...

Hi Sophia,

I think this image is always displayed in the free trial version of H&M.
It will disappear when you obtain the full version.

The problem is, that nobody can guess that there is a link behind each item. Therefore a tooltip for the whole image would have been nice. Hi Simon, Why not try visible hotspots like this? Then you don't have to rely on the user "accidentally" running the mouse over the image to discover ...

Fortunately, there's quite a simple workaround: Press Ctrl+A to select your entire topic, then press Ctrl+X to cut the topic to the clipboard, then press Ctrl+V to paste it back again. The hard break at the beginning of the page will be gone. :) Hi Tim, If doing Ctrl-X on an entire topic makes you ...

The bit I forgot to mention is that I was searching for the word just replaced. I don't know if that is significant. p.s. No it isn't. Finding "text" after replacing "topic" also deletes all. Sorry - I might have checked that before writing! I think it is the "All to...
