Hi Sue,

This is already possible. If you select the "Highlight changed topics" check box in the Project Synch dialog new topics will also be highlighted in aqua in the TOC and/or the Invisible Topics section. The text in the help needs to be updated.

Patrick,

Thanks for the note but there's nothing I can do about it, it looks like a forum software glitch. The link itself is OK, what is happening is that only part of the link is being displayed on the summary page. Kismet... 8)

How links to Office files are handled depends on what browser the user is using and how Windows is configured on the user's computer. All browsers except Microsoft Internet Explorer will open a Powerpoint file in Powerpoint, an Excel file in Excel and a Word file in Word. By default, Internet Explor...

Hi "Ohjoy", The header is an essential part of most of the output formats supported by Help & Manual; if you don't use it you will make your documentation a lot less useful. However, if you want to create a topic without a header there are two options: Either you can just delete the te...

Re: just to be sure

so it should work okay if I leave the style the same but make equivalent manual formatting changes, right? That should be OK -- what is important is that there is no "break" of any kind between the elements. You can check this by running through the text with the cursor and watching the s...

Brian, If all your files are in the same folder then you don't need any path information at all -- you should be able to call the CHM files with their names only. Note that you may have to register them during the installation process to make it work because in addition to the relative path bug the ...

If adding an empty paragraph increases the height of your entire page enough so that it extends beyond the page boundary then it is quite possible that the blank paragraph will be placed on a page o...
