Access Speed to the Forum

Unread post by Tim Green »

I've been wondering if access to the forum website is speedy enough for everyone. Here in Europe it seems to be fine -- my host's server is based in Frankfurt, Germany -- but I know that quality from Europe across the Atlantic and to other continents tends to vary depending on the backbones used.

Actually my problem is that the site cannot be accessed from a few locations (the hotel wher I stay in Dubai and in New Delhi come to mind). It seems that not all DNS resolvers can find it.

Olivier,

Thanks for this, I've also had mail from my it-authoring.com address get bounced to me as "unresolved" from one site in America. I'll get onto my provider and see what they say about it.

Tim,

Have you used any of the tools at http://www.dnsstuff.com as helped me a lot in the past with DNS problems on my server.

John,

Great, thanks. This is an invaluable collection of tools, I can pass the DNS report on to my hosters directly. 8)
