We have 4.5 and have been using it to maintain the help for a client's application. They are taking over some of the project maintenance and will be acquiring a copy of H&M.
Assuming they will only be able to get v7, will they be able to save the file as a v4 .hmx file?
We are quite happy with v4.5 and unless the client can use v7 to save files in a format 4.5 can read, we will need to upgrade also.
Thanks,
Using Help and Manual v4.5 AND v7 to maintain same project

Re: Using Help and Manual v4.5 AND v7 to maintain same proje
Hi Ross,
If you decide to shift a project to Help & Manual 7 you must then stay there and do all ongoing editing in that version from then on. Switching between the two is not an option.
No, absolutely not. You can convert HM4 projects to use them in HM7, but that is a one-way street. It would also be pointless to try to save a HM7 project for HM4 because it would mean stripping out most of the formatting and layout features, which you would then lose completely every time you went back and forth between the two versions.Assuming they will only be able to get v7, will they be able to save the file as a v4 .hmx file?
