We are using Windows Server 2003 R2 as Terminal-Server and compile CHM-Files with HM4 V 4.3.0.1138. Our problem: There're no index entries in the help viewer and also the search tab doesn't work. Elder chm-files do not work, too.
Thanks for help.

Sounds like a general HTML Help runtime issue...
Can you open other CHM files from C:\Windows\Help and do these files work properly? Can you open and view H&M's online help?
If it's only CHM files that you have compiled yourself, which don't work, then your HTML Help compiler is most probably not properly installed. In this case (and only in this case) I recommend to re-install the compiler. Compiler download: http://www.ec-software.com/downloads_mscomp.html
When reinstalled, make sure that all DLLs are registered correctly. Download MJ's Help Diagnostics from http://www.helpware.net/downloads/#MJs and run it on the PC where the HTML Help compiler is installed.

Hi Tim,
our technical department wasn't able to locate exactly the error and has started a research at Microsoft. Is seems to be only a problem of a specific new server and the same help files are running without problems on other server with same operating system and configuration in our local network. I will inform you, if there are new informations disposables.
