Hi EC team,
maybe there's a little bug with text variables:
When I globally define a text variable with leading or trailing space characters, H&M accepts this.
When I redefine a text variable within a topic with leading or trailing space characters, H&M truncates them.
I need the space characters. Please would you correct this?
Thanks and best regards,
Alex

Hi Tim,
After text variables was imported leading space is presented: If project was saved and reopened leading space is absent: H&M 6.1.0.2504
Thank you.
P.S. Could you fix it once and for all?

Leading and trailing blanks in variables (command line publ.
Is there any chance to get the possibility for leading/trailing space characters in variables when using skin files during command line publishing?
Using "V=file_with_list_of_variables.txt" works fine, leading space characters in are recognised.
But using "O=project_skin_file_with_list_of_variables.xml" seems to cut the leading space characters in
I have to use project skin files for lists of variables because of my several 'layers' of variables but unfortunately I can only use one variable list file using the "V=..." option while several "O=..." options are no problem.
Thanks and best regards,
Alex
(Build 2504)
Using "V=file_with_list_of_variables.txt" works fine, leading space characters in
Code: Select all
"VariableX= xyz"
But using "O=project_skin_file_with_list_of_variables.xml" seems to cut the leading space characters in
Code: Select all
<variable id="VariableX" type="text" translate="true"> xyz</variable>
Thanks and best regards,
Alex

Re: Leading and trailing blanks in topic's text variables
Hi Alexander,
Does this still occur with Help & Manual 6.2, released yesterday? If so, I'm afraid it needs to go onto the next ToDo list...

Sorry Tim, I wasn't aware of the new version. With 6.2 it works fine.
