Change Log:
- Topic title in browser title bar in WebHelp
The name of the current topic is now automatically displayed after the help project title in the web browser's title bar for WebHelp. This updates automatically when a new topic is selected. - Accented characters in sortable tables
Table columns containing accented characters are now sorted correctly by the sortable tables function. Sorting treats accented characters and umlauts as though they were normal, unaccented characters. You can turn this option off for faster sorting and/or for languages that sort accented characters after Z. - Sortable table heading row formatting
If a sortable table had no padding set and only used the margins of the paragraphs in the table as its padding the heading row in the table could be formatted without padding. - Initialization display of large sortable tables in IE
In Internet Explorer very large sortable tables would sometimes appear to overlap the topic header briefly while the page was being initialized. On pages containing such tables the topic content is now not displayed until all tables have initialized. - Anchor links to topics containing large sortable tables and/or many toggles
Anchor links to topics that contained very large sortable tables and/or a large number of toggles sometimes failed because of the delay while these elements were being initialized. The page now waits for these elements to initialize before trying to scroll to the anchor location. - Expand/Collapse All for pages with very large numbers of toggles
Pages with very large numbers of toggles can appear to freeze when Expand All/Collapse All is used, particularly in Internet Explorer. Toggle animation is now turned off automatically for Expand/All Collapse/All if there are more than 20 toggles on the page. - Index links to anchors with animated scrolling in CHM
Index links to anchors sometimes caused "double scrolling" in CHM when the topic containing the anchor target was already open. (The page would scroll down to the target quickly, snap back to the top and then perform an animated scroll to the target.) Animated scrolling is now also disabled for anchor links from the keyword index if the topic containing the target is already displayed. - Printing in CHM and WebHelp with IE
On some computers with Internet Explorer 9 installed selecting the Print Topic button would only print a screenshot of the first page of the topic. - Minor CSS adjustment for Internet Explorer 9
Adjustment for correct display of navigation tabs in Internet Explorer 9 in both standard and compatibility view. - Initialization failure for popup links styled as buttons
If the only popup links in a topic were styled as buttons Premium Pack advanced popups were not initialized and Help & Manual's standard popups were used. - Microsoft Internet Explorer 6 warning banner
The official Microsoft warning banner is now displayed when WebHelp or CHM files are opened using Internet Explorer 6. Computers using IE6 should not be connected to the Internet, it is now much too dangerous.
If you need IE6 technology for old web applications try using Browsium Ion, which provides full support for IE6 web apps in Internet Explorer 8 on Windows XP and Internet Explorer 9 and later on Windows 7.
