Jumping to an anchor in another topic frequently fails; will go to the top of the topic, not the anchor.
Sometimes it will work for 10-20 times, then fail. The same file run from a different location can fail as many as 3 times in a row.
( Locations - local and reliable network drives. )
Running Version 6.5.5 Build 3020
Format - HTML Help
Skin - various including hm6 / hm6 Cachefix / Twoframe silver
Have sent details and copy of .hmxz to : support AT ec-software.com
Thank you,
Sheila

Re: Anchor in another topic fails intermittently
Hi Sheila,
I just received your files and can't reproduce this at all. The anchor links always function perfectly. Note that your Help+Manual 6 installation is out of date. The current version is 6.5.6 Build 3027. You can get the free update installer here:
http://www.helpandmanual.com/downloads.html#oldver
My guess is something flaky on the individual computer or IE installation.

If the CHM is on a network drive it shouldn't work at all. CHM files on networks are strictly forbidden by Windows and are always blocked. Even if you manage to unblock them with Windows Registry hacks you will still get all kinds of flaky behavior and many links won't work properly. One factor appears to be where the .chm is located (local C: drive vs a reliable network drive).
